The successful candidate will perform field work including regulated building material inspection, groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and surface water sampling, submit samples to a laboratory for analysis, manage and evaluate field and lab data, supervise contractors and drillers, and provide construction oversight. This individual will additionally support project managers on a variety of projects with the preparation and completion of reports, drawings, and other project documents. LaBella offers excellent training and career advancement opportunities, along with outstanding benefits.\nDuties\nAssist with field investigations and site inspections. \nPerform field monitoring of various media. \nProvide project monitoring and air sampling. \nPerform soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling. \nPerform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. \nAssist with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections, monitoring, documentation, and compliance activities. \nCollect, record, and organize field data in a concise and accurate manner. \nPerform data presentation, map creation, and report preparation. \nPrepare deliverables on time and within budget. \nMaintain open communication with project team members. \nSupport various environmental projects to ensure their successful planning, implementation, and completion.\nRepresent the company in a professional manner and in line with the firm's core values. \nConduct work to professional standards and following the firm's QA/QC policy. \nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental specialists, engineers, contractors, and government agencies, to achieve project objectives. \nMaintain accurate project documentation, including environmental assessments, permits, reports, and correspondence, and ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements. \nSalary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour\nThe specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.\nRequirements\nB.S. degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering \n0-3 years of experience in environmental consulting, environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related environmental field. \nEntry-level candidates with strong academic, internship, field, GIS, AutoCAD, or technical writing experience will be considered. \n40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred. \nExperience with AutoCAD and / or ArcGIS preferred. \nPossess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. \nMust be team oriented with the ability to work effectively with project managers, field staff, contractors, clients, and other professionals. \nMust be a highly motivated self-starter. \nAbility to work in a fast-paced environmental consulting environment. \nAbility to work within a multidisciplinary group of professionals.\nOrganized with strong attention to detail. \nHighly motivated, with excellent client service skills and a positive attitude. \nStrong problem-solving skills. \nWillingness and ability to travel for various projects, including occasional overnight stays, as required. \nValid NYS driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation. \nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to perform outdoor fieldwork in a variety of weather and site conditions. \nAbility to lift 25 pounds at a time. \nBenefits\nBody, mind, and wallet-LaBella’s benefits support a holistic approach to your health and wellness, creating the foundation for physical, mental, and financial well-being.
