This individual will serve as a key resource to other divisions throughout LaBella, helping project managers and division leaders identify opportunities to incorporate RBM, environmental due diligence, and Brownfields services into multidisciplinary projects and pursuits.\nThe ideal candidate will be an experienced seller-doer and people leader who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent business acumen, client relationship skills, and a demonstrated ability to develop new business. The successful candidate will be comfortable building relationships with both internal and external clients, leading pursuits, managing projects, and identifying opportunities to grow LaBella's RBM, Environmental Due Diligence, and Brownfields services.\nThis individual will also play an important role in developing the next generation of environmental professionals by providing mentorship, technical guidance, training, career development, and opportunities for junior staff to expand their expertise and responsibilities.\nThe successful candidate should have experience in one or more of the following core service areas: Regulated Building Materials, including asbestos and lead-based materials inspections; Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and other environmental due diligence services; and Brownfields redevelopment and related environmental assessment and remediation services.\nThis position is based in LaBella's Richmond, Virginia office and will support projects and clients throughout Virginia.\nDuties\nPartner with the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director and Environmental Divisional leadership to develop and execute strategies for the continued growth of Regulated Building Materials, Environmental Due Diligence, and Brownfields services, with a key focus on Virginia.\nServe as a key Environmental Division leader and resource for other LaBella divisions seeking expertise and support related to RBM, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Brownfields, and related environmental services.\nWork closely with division leaders and project managers across the firm to identify opportunities to incorporate these services into multidisciplinary projects, pursuits, and client relationships.\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.\nParticipate in business development activities, including client meetings, networking, industry events, presentations, proposal development, and pursuit strategy.\nIdentify opportunities to expand RBM, Environmental Due Diligence, and Brownfields services within existing LaBella clients and multidisciplinary project teams.\nPrepare and lead proposals and pursuit teams for environmental services and multidisciplinary projects.\nManage projects, including scope, budget, schedule, staffing, client communication, deliverables, and regulatory coordination.\nProvide technical oversight and quality review of reports, proposals, and other environmental deliverables for RBM, Environmental Due Diligence, Brownfields, and related services.\nProvide technical guidance for environmental studies and services, including Asbestos and Lead-Based Materials Surveys, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Brownfields Redevelopment, environmental assessments, and related remediation services.\nConduct field work as appropriate, particularly when supporting project delivery, staff development, training, and quality control.\nDevelop, mentor, and retain junior environmental staff by providing technical guidance, training, coaching, career development, and opportunities for increased responsibility.\nHelp maintain a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, technical excellence, professional growth, and knowledge sharing within the Environmental Division.\nMonitor workload, staffing, project capacity, and resource needs within the Environmental Division in coordination with regional leadership.\nCollaborate with Environmental Managers and technical staff throughout LaBella to share resources, expertise, best practices, and opportunities.\nRepresent LaBella professionally with clients, regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and the community.\nSalary Range: $100,000-120,000\nThe specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.\nRequirements\nB.S. degree in environmental science, biology, geology, or engineering.\n20+ years of progressive environmental consulting experience, preferably with significant experience in one or more of the following areas: Regulated Building Materials, Environmental Due Diligence, and/or Brownfields.\nStrong understanding of environmental consulting services and regulatory requirements related to RBM, Environmental Due Diligence, Brownfields, or related environmental services.\nStrong business acumen and understanding of the financial and operational aspects of professional consulting services.\nProven ability to mentor, train, and develop junior staff and help build high-performing teams.\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and organizational teams.\nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nStrong proposal writing, technical writing, and presentation skills.\nHighly motivated with a strong commitment to client service and business development.\nStrong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.\nWillingness to travel throughout Virginia as needed.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.\nAbility to lift to 25 pounds.\nBenefits\nBody, mind, and wallet-LaBella’s benefits support a holistic approach to your health and wellness, creating the foundation for physical, mental, and financial well-being.
