You'll work with advanced CNC turning centers, including live tooling and Y-axis capabilities, in a precision manufacturing environment.\nCompensation:\n $35-$41/hour (based on experience)\nSchedule:\n2nd shift: Monday-Friday: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm\nResponsibilities:\nIndependently set up CNC lathes and turning centers for precision machining operations.\nPerform complete machine setups, including tooling selection, workholding, tool offsets, and first-piece inspection.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, G-code, and GD&T requirements.\nLoad and prove out CNC programs, making machine-side adjustments as needed.\nSet up and perform turning operations including facing, boring, threading, grooving, drilling, and contouring.\nWork with live tooling and Y-axis machining capabilities on complex components.\nTroubleshoot tooling, dimensional, surface-finish, and machining issues.\nInspect first articles and finished components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.\nMake adjustments to feeds, speeds, tooling, and offsets to improve machining performance.\nMaintain tight tolerances while machining a variety of metals and engineered materials.\nTake ownership of assigned machines, setups, and production quality throughout the shift.\nRequirements\n5+ years of CNC lathe setup experience in a precision machine shop.\nAbility to independently perform complete CNC lathe setups from start to finish.\nStrong understanding of CNC turning processes, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and workholding.\nExperience reading G-code and making basic CNC program edits at the machine.\nStrong blueprint reading skills and working knowledge of GD&T.\nExperience machining tight-tolerance components and performing first-piece inspections.\nAbility to troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments without constant supervision.\nComfortable working independently on second
