What you'll do:
Solve problems that stand in the way of producing intense low energy electron beams
Model and analyze electro beams to build next generation solutions
Collaborate across teams on theoretical, simulation, and experimental projects
Produce and maintain high quality documentation and code, as well as review documentation and code written by colleagues
Mentor junior members of the team
Who you are:
An engineer or physicist that thrives in a collaborative fast paced environment working on complex, interconnected, and evolving problems. You have a strong understanding of the physics of non-relativistic electromagnetism as well as are skilled at modeling such systems. You are excited to own a challenging problem and guide it from theory to implementation.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD or equivalent level of experience
Experience modeling/designing electron beams OR similar systems
Competency in programming, particularly Python or Julia
Desired Qualifications
Experience with low energy electron beams
Experience with Hall Effect thrusters
Experience with thermionic emission
Experience with low temperature low pressure plasmas
Experience with plasma instabilities
Hands on lab experience
