We’re looking for innovative, bold and brave minds to help us build the world’s best insurance company.\nThe Commercial Operations Analyst role\nLaka's Commercial team manages partnerships with bike brands, retailers, leasing companies and fleet operators across the UK, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We have fewer, bigger partners and long sales cycles. So what matters is getting the numbers right: every invoice, every commission statement and every report a partner sees. You'll own that, and build the reporting and processes that help the team grow its accounts.\nYou'll report to the VP Commercial.\nWhat you'll be getting up to:\nInvoice and commission checks\nCheck the partner invoices Finance prepares each month: all of them there, on time, and right against contract terms, including group partners billed across several subsidiaries, entities and currencies (GBP/EUR)\nCheck partner commission statements before they go out, and make sure every partner gets theirs on time\nBuild checks and automation so errors are caught before anything reaches a partner\nOwn the contract register: commission rates, fees, billing entity, renewal and notice dates for every partner\nReporting and dashboards\nBuild and maintain dashboards in Count (SQL) on partner performance: policies sold, capital acquired, revenue, commission, and trends by market and segment\nReport account profitability: loss ratio and margin by partner (premium vs claims vs commission vs fulfilment costs), showing which accounts are worth growing and giving evidence for rate reviews and renewals\nOwn the weekly partner reporting with Finance and Data, including how accounts are tagged and mapped\nSpot what looks off in the numbers and raise it with the account owner\nPartner QBRs\nPrepare QBR packs for partners: performance, trends and agreed actions\nRun the QBR calendar so key accounts are reviewed on a regular cadence\nSales process and deal support\nMap and tighten the handoffs from signed deal to go-live: contract, pricing set-up, onboarding, first invoice\nSupport deal modelling: commission economics, partner business cases and fee structures\nKeep HubSpot tidy enough to be useful: accounts, owners, contacts and key dates\nAutomation and tools\nFind manual, repetitive work in the team and automate it (Sheets, Retool, Zapier, AI tools, scripts)\nKeep templates, playbooks and process docs up to date\nRequirements\nThis role will be a great fit if you:\nAbout you\n2 to 5 years in commercial ops, revenue ops, FP&A, business analysis or similar\nStrong with numbers and data\nExperience building dashboards in a BI tool (Count, Looker, Metabase, Tableau or similar)\nRigorous: you reconcile before you send, and you build checks so the same mistake doesn't happen twice\nExperience reconciling invoices, commissions or billing data, ideally across entities and currencies\nCurious about automation and AI, and you've used them to remove manual work\nOrganised and autonomous, happy to build process where little exists, and confident pushing back when it isn't followed\nClear communicator with partners and internal teams\nNice to have\nInsurance, fintech or B2B2C partnerships\nFrench, Dutch or German\nPython or another scripting language\nAn interest in cycling\nBenefits\nOur perks\nWhat can you expect from working at Laka?\nRemote-first way of working - you choose whether you work from home or our beautiful offices in London & Bristol (we have no minimum expectation of how many days you come in, although we'd love to see your friendly face!)\nShare options - we want you to be rewarded for Laka's success - everyone in the business is granted share options when they join\nCompany bonus scheme - if the company hits its targets, you'll get a cash bonus of 5% of your base salary annually\nAnnual leave - 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), with the option to roll over up to 5 days per year\nPension scheme - Laka pays 3% of your base salary into your pension to help you save for the future\nPrivate medical insurance - we’ll give you individual private cover, with the option to add partners & dependants too (at a small cost)\nLunch on us - £15 every first Wednesday of the month to enjoy lunch on Laka - pop out locally with people in the office, or order-in at home, the choice is yours\nCompany-wide events - we love getting everyone together as much as possible - expect regular events throughout the year, for team building, bonding, and general good old-fashioned fun!\nMonthly socials - as if quarterly company events weren't enough, we also give each office a budget for a monthly social activity (think anything from low-key dinner & drinks through to adventure golf, paddleboarding, bowling, electric darts, trampoline parks and more!)\nLaka swag - we'll give you some lovely Laka kit to get you started, including a jumper & t-shirts so you can feel (& look) like part of the family\nLaka credit - for all you cyclists, we'll give you £10 credit per month towards insuring your bike(s) with us - plus give you access to a bunch of cycling industry discounts\nMental health support - unlimited support via Spill, including one-to-one therapy sessions\nBelonging at Laka\nWe're committed to building and sustaining a business that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging - our customer collective is broad and inclusive, and we'd like our own people to be too.
