Our distribution center in Garland, UT keeps classrooms stocked with the tools educators and children need to learn and grow - and you help make that possible. As a Seasonal Maintenance Mechanic, you'll keep our facility and material-handling equipment running safely and reliably, working alongside a hands-on team. If you like solving mechanical puzzles and take pride in a well-running facility, this role is a great fit.
A day on the job looks like this:
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyor systems, motors, sensors, and related material-handling equipment following established procedures and plans
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and mechanical issues on material-handling components, including photo eyes, relays, solenoids, and motor starters
- Maintain and repair racking, shelving, dock levelers, and overhead doors to keep operations moving safely
- Complete routine facility maintenance tasks and support janitorial needs as they arise
- Monitor forklift battery water levels and ensure timely, correct charging
- Follow all safety and loss-prevention policies and procedures, contributing to a safe work environment for the whole team
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, facilities, or light industrial environment - or an equivalent combination of technical training and hands-on experience
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely
- Comfortable working in varied physical conditions including heat, cold, dust, noise, elevated heights, and extended time on concrete surfaces
- Forklift-certified or willing to obtain certification after hire
- Able to work occasional overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours as the season requires
- This is a fully onsite role located in Garland, UT
Preferred:
- Coursework or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or a related trade program
- Familiarity with forklift repair and basic troubleshooting
- Graduates of Bridgerland Tech College strongly preferred
