Responsible for implementing the Environmental Programs at Lam Research India Bangalore facility. Other EHS related responsibilities will include supporting design reviews and implementation of EHS requirements, chemical reviews, risk assessments, supporting the site emergency response program, and EHS related trainings. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. Acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies you'll not only stay current but also reinforce Lam's commitment to safety and environmental compliance.\nWhat you’ll do\nImplement the environmental program at Lam India, including air emissions control, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, waste management, and sustainability. Responsible for all environmental programs, procedures, and permits.\nObtain and manage environmental permits, including the development of operations compliance plans, legal register, chemical use & storage threshold monitoring.\nSubmit regulatory permit monitoring reports, annual operating reports, and calculations as required to the regulatory agencies. Prepare the submittal for permit renewal applications.\nManage regulatory inspections and community outreach as needed. Ensure all community stakeholders, landlords, and agencies are notified as appropriate for environmental permits, spills and releases, emergency response drills, etc.\nManage the waste program, including waste identification, waste characterization, handling, disposal and reduction initiatives.\nManage the emergency spill control program, including plan development and spill response.\nMaintain excellent knowledge of local environmental regulations and monitors upcoming environmental legislation changes. Evaluate, interpret, and apply environmental laws, regulations and permits as it relates to the operation of the facility.\nExcellent background in chemistry and demonstrates the ability to perform pollution control system efficiency & byproduct calculations, etc. Must have the ability to perform these calculations independently.\nAssists Lab Operations and other business units with management of change activities, including equipment and tool installation, process safety review and R&D chemical use approval, and pro-active prevention and management initiatives.\nInvestigates incident, assists with the development of containment and corrective action plans.\nTraining for all personnel to assure understanding of environmental programs.\nArrange for all stack testing, monitoring, and other requirements. Must have the ability to interpret data and develop action plans accordingly.\nPerforms environmental inspections and audits.\nPrepares GHG monitoring and reporting.\nWho we’re looking for\nStrong understanding about functions, design & operations of Wastewater Treatment Plant and Air Pollution Control systems.\nPrior experience with managing environmental permits and regulatory inspections.\nKnowledge of environmental regulations and requirements in India.\nShould have performed Env. Impact Aspect & Hazard Risk Assessments.\nMust be comfortable working in a clean room, and construction environments.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to travel to domestic or international sites on a limited and on need basis.\nFluent in English with excellent communications skills.\nExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence positively and drive results.\nSkills in analyzing and evaluating a wide variety of technical data, test results, reports, and plans.\nAbility to apply EHS and regulatory knowledge to business decisions.\nAbility to respond to and resolve complex challenges under pressure.\nPreferred qualifications\nAt least 8 years of EHS experience in environmental engineering, environmental science, or environmental management.\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or chemical engineering field is desired.\nOur commitment\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
