You will work with architects to develop design criteria, layouts, and prepare contracts. You inspect construction and installation progress to ensure adherence with established specifications and schedules. Your focus on performance specifications required to meet unique operating conditions contributes to the efficiency and compliance of Lam's state-of-the-art facilities.\nWhat you’ll do\nResponsible for Livermore campus infrastructure systems. Core mechanical systems of responsibility include, but not limited to: Mechanical/Process systems (Process Cooling Water, Clean Dry Air, Chilled Water, Hot Water, Air Handling systems, Exhaust Air systems, Humidification systems).\nProvide engineering design review input and approval for facility infrastructure and process tool installation projects.\nOperational ownership of mechanical and process system performance.\nProvide engineering construction input and commissioning support for facility infrastructure projects.\nFamiliarity with process PLC and commercial HVAC control systems.\nSupport as-built documentation of mechanical and process system layouts and P&ID’s.\nMaintain load/capacity studies for facility infrastructure systems.\nPerform review and approval of cleanroom certification reports.\nProvide direction of air and water balancing services.\nDrive improvement of infrastructure system performance and up-time.\nExperience with standard operating procedure creation and training skills.\nExperience with energy efficiency improvement projects.\nWork directly with contractors and service providers to ensure delivery of operational results.\nPerform Failure Mode and Effect Analysis during project design development phase.\nCapital and expensed project financial management and control experience.\nCapable of supporting multiple concurrent projects and assignments.\nWho we’re looking for\nMinimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.\nPossess and demonstrate Lam Core Values.\nStrong safety culture.\nDemonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.\nSolid written and oral communication skills.\nContinuous improvement and innovative mindset.\nThrive while working in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment.\nValue internal and cross-functional teamwork in solving problems.\nAssertive nature and willingness to support customer needs when challenged.\nPreferred qualifications\nSemiconductor industry experience.\nOur commitment\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
