We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.\nThe impact you’ll make\nAt Lam, as a Field Process Engineer you are a customer-focused expert on our equipment, pushing the boundaries to meet customer needs. You’re responsible for completing process support, evaluation, and documentation of process outputs for hardware modifications and upgrades. You play a vital role in supporting the customer in installations, training, and identifying design improvements with product groups.\nWhat you’ll do\nProvide process support, installation, resolve and improve process/system/productivity, and develop processes of new applications of Lam equipment at customer sites.\nComplete Design of Experiments (DOE) evaluations to characterize process window for new installations or recommended field hardware modifications.\nDesign and conduct experiments, collect data, analyze results, generate reports, and provide recommendations.\nDevelop new processes for small variants to existing customer applications.\nPerforms application related Project Management, including planning, defining problems and objectives, developing an approach, and providing recommendations.\nCollaborates with cross-functional teams and customers to understand their needs, technology roadmaps, process flow, requirements, and business challenges.\nRepresent Lam to our valued customers and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.\nPresent technical and marketing materials with a win-win mindset to keep customers informed about products and services to address their needs.\nProvide technical instruction and mentoring for more junior engineers.\nWho we’re looking for\nMinimum Qualifications:\nPhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related field; or Masters of Science with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or Bachelors of Science with 5+ years of work experience.\nProficiency in computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.\nExcellent communication, written and verbal, and customer relationship skills.\nAbility to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suit, and on-call if needed.\nPreferred qualifications\nIn-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).\nFoundational analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.\nOur commitment\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
