Global Product Support Engineer Sr

Primary Responsibilities

• Creates, writes, edits procedures for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance recommendation guide.
• Participates in design review, project review and technical discussions to provide feedback on design for serviceability.
• Considers ergonomics requirement during the installation procedure documentation.
• Participates in design reviews and recommends design improvements in lieu of serviceability aspects, Semi S22, S08 and NIOSH standards.
• Releases and maintains the procedures in PLM. Handles the design data utilizing Nx and Creo.
• Provides solutions and solves the problem reports related to installation or maintenance of the tool.
• Provides support to engineering team and to field service for capital equipment at the Lam labs, factory and in the field.
• Travels to customer location for installation, commissioning and resolution of issues.
• Publishes technical documentation including Procedures and Tech Articles to My Lam for global community.
• Leads customers & Lam specification documents study and compilation programs. Handles large data
• Actively participates in global platform field escalations, emphasizing in Lam platforms on Etch, Deposition and Clean products (some or all).
• Acquire and apply engineering theories and problem-solving skills in defining problem, investigation, troubleshooting, analyzing results and providing recommendations to resolution of technical problems
• Conduct and design well defined experiments and tests pertaining to the development of new methods, hardware, standards, modification of current material, components, software or resolution of complex technical problems. Generate clear and concise reports to justify the technical recommendations.

Mandatory skills required to performing the job:

• Excellent technical writing, engineering communication verbal, and effective presentation skills
• Experience in installation & commissioning of wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in labs or fabs
• Experience in serviceability analysis of new products design and recommend the improvements
• Exposure to design for serviceability, NIOSH and safety standards & equipment troubleshooting
• Exposure to Field problems solving, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), effective RCCA
• Basic knowledge with CAD tools like NX, Creo and iPLM
• Experience with WFE, semi product architectures (ex. cluster tools and their major components)
• Exposure of working with mechanical, electrical, software, control and lab facilities teams cross functionally to ensure installation & commissioning and tool upgrades.
• Ability to compile customer specifications, handle and analyze data. Format data utilizing Excel spreadsheets and infer.

• Years of Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience
• Educational qualification: Graduate in Mechanical/ Production/ Electrical

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
