We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.\nThe impact you’ll make\nThe NPI (New Product Introduction) HVM Direct Program Manager will drive sourcing newly designed parts that support our product roadmap directly at our HVM suppliers. This program enables us to lock in better product margins early and source parts closer to our HVM manufacturing sites. The Program Manager (PM) will interface with purchasing, should-cost engineering, sourcing engineers, and regional Supplier Business Managers to optimize the process throughput and outcomes. Clear communication, effective problem solving, negotiating, E2E sourcing process knowledge and a high standard of excellence are essential skills to be successful in this role.\nThe HVM Direct program works in alignment with our standard Rapid Prototype Manufacturing (RPM) process to source initial designs for a myriad of uses (lab upgrades, Pilot mfg, customer upgrades, etc). These processes provide a strategic advantage for Lam to iterate designs quickly and win new customer business in a very competitive semiconductor market.\nWhat you’ll do\nTranslate high-level objectives into actionable strategies and tasks\nCross-functionally develop metrics & tools to drive delivery and cost savings objectives\nDevelop relationships with Lam’s Asia supply base\nDevelop knowledge of Lam’s procurement processes & workflows\nIdentify risks & opportunities around supplier costs, capacity, delivery performance\nApply systemic problem solving to resolve internal process gaps\nCoach Supplier Business Managers & Sourcing Engineers on NPI sourcing processes and supplier negotiations\nPresent monthly & quarterly performance to executive level audience \nServe as a resource to buyers for sourcing and process questions\nSPOC for escalations regarding HVM Direct supply base for US based customers\nDevelop training and assist in onboarding for new HVM Direct suppliers\nDevelop broad-based knowledge of multiple commodities\nBuild relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to develop process improvements\nWho we’re looking for\nBA, BS/BSE level degree in business, supply chain, engineering, materials science, logistics, or related technical discipline\nSolid analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally across all levels of the organization\nHigh-level proficiency in planning, creating and delivering executive-level presentations\nAbility to travel to international supplier sites and after-hours meetings with global team members\n8+ years supply chain management experience \nPreferred qualifications\nBusiness, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering Advanced Degree\nPrevious work experience in commodity management, procurement, contracting, materials management, operations management\nModels effective verbal and written communications, anticipates questions and presents options\nProject Management / Team Lead experience\nLean six sigma experience\nUnderstanding of operational processes and interdependencies\nAbility to learn new technologies and manufacturing processes (aptitude/proficiency)\nAdept relationship-building skills, quick to build rapport and gain stakeholder trust\nCustomer and results focused, utilizing creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities\nAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and keep up in a fast-paced environment\nOur commitment\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
