You specialize in utilizing RF as a power source and creating innovative generator designs. Your work paves the way for new power sources to be used Lam's wafer fabrication equipment.\nWhat you’ll do\nYou will be responsible for performing professional electrical engineering research, design,development, modification, and evaluation in support of electrical and electro-mechanical systems/subsystems. \nYou will work with a multidisciplinary engineering design team: electrical, mechanical, software, process, technical support, and suppliers, on the design, modification, of custom and OEM embedded systems components. \nPrimarily responsible for design/selection, testing and documentation of RF delivery systems(100kHz to 100MHz; Watt to Kilowatt ranges). \nYou will need to prepare and analyze test plans and procedures to assure that technical andoperational requirements are met and properly demonstrated. \nYou will be responsible for the collection and analysis of pertinent material and data inpreparation of your presentation at design, project, and program reviews. \nWho we’re looking for\nTypically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.\nMust have knowledge of EM fields theory and RF metrology (Power Meters, Network-, Impedance- andSpectrum Analyzers, etc.). \nFamiliarity with high voltage (>1kV) design rules/practices DC - 100MHz is also desired. \nSPICE, LabView, MathCAD or MatLab, and analysis tools (i.e. - HFSS, Comsol, Microwave Studio) experience preferred. \nExperience in or fundamental knowledge of plasma processing, plasma sources and plasma loads is a plus. \nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nOutstanding analysis and trouble-shooting skills.\nAbility to work and accomplish tasks individually as well as in a dynamic-teams environment.\nThis is a graduate eligible role.\nPreferred qualifications\nSemiconductor capital equipment or related industrial equipment industry experience.\nAppreciates learning and understanding challenges and limitations within other disciplines on system designs.\nWillingness to travel to international locations.\nWorking knowledge of industry standards: SEMI, NFPA79, NEC, UL, EN, IEC, ETG, etc.\nFamiliar with plasma physics and simulation tools like VizGlow and EMA3D.\nExperience with RF/uW generator/source, impedance matching network, transmission line, and antennas.\nTechnical working experience: 100 KHz to 100 MHz, Watt to KiloWatt ranges, and high voltage DC delivery.\nFamiliar with high voltage (>10 KV) and high current (>100 Arms) design rules; arcing, tracking, heat, and paracitic.\nOur commitment\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
