Success in this role requires strong business judgment, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for helping the business respond effectively to evolving regulatory challenges and opportunities.\nWhat you’ll do\nReporting to the Director, Ethics & Compliance and Regulatory Counsel, you will partner with the APAC Regional Legal team to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance to the Global Product Group and regional stakeholders on product regulatory compliance and related matters across Asia Pacific, including environmental sustainability, health and safety (EHS), disclosure and reporting obligations, third-party due diligence, risk management, and emerging regulatory requirements.\nHelp design, implement, and mature scalable compliance frameworks for complex and emerging regulatory areas, including product compliance, sustainability, supply chain due diligence, disclosure and reporting obligations, and other global and Asia Pacific regulatory requirements affecting Lam's products, operations, and customers.\nProvide legal support to the Global Trade Compliance Team; monitor and advise on regulatory developments, legislative initiatives, and policy trends across Asia Pacific; manage local external counsel as appropriate; and partner with product, sales, operations, sustainability, and government affairs teams to continuously improve compliance programs and regional business readiness.\nContribute to the broader Ethics & Compliance program by supporting the effective implementation of compliance policies, procedures, third-party due diligence processes, training, communications, internal investigations, and other compliance initiatives.\nMonitor legal trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments across Asia Pacific to identify emerging risks and opportunities, and translate complex local requirements into clear, actionable guidance for regional and global stakeholders.\nServe as a trusted advisor to business and functional leaders, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and support business goals\nWho we’re looking for\nLaw degree or equivalent professional legal qualification with more than 10 years of progressive legal experience, including at least 5-6 years focused on regulatory counseling, with substantial experience advising on regulations affecting industrial equipment, product compliance, material sourcing, and supply chain operations. \nExperience supporting matters across multiple Asia Pacific jurisdictions is strongly preferred\nQualified and in good standing to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction. Admission in Singapore or another Asia Pacific jurisdiction is preferred, where applicable to the candidate's background and the role\nSignificant experience advising multinational companies on product regulatory compliance, environmental, health and safety (EHS) requirements, supply chain and third-party due diligence, government contracting, risk management, and corporate compliance programs, preferably across Asia Pacific markets.\nDemonstrated ability to quickly learn new regulatory areas and translate complex legal requirements into practical, risk-based, and actionable business guidance.\nProven track record of managing complex legal and compliance matters, working effectively across functions, geographies, and time zones, and providing strategic advice that supports business objectives\nStrong business judgment, analytical skills, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to managing regulatory and compliance risks\nCuriosity and a growth mindset, with a demonstrated commitment to expanding expertise in emerging regulatory areas and industry developments\nExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization\nPeriodic travel within the Asia Pacific region and other Lam locations may be required (~ 15 - 20% travelling required)\nPreferred qualifications\nUnderstanding of global sustainability and supply chain regulations, including carbon accounting and reporting, human rights and environmental due diligence requirements, circular economy and extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulations, product stewardship obligations, and sustainability-related disclosure requirements\nExperience developing, implementing, or advising on compliance frameworks and governance programs in complex and evolving regulatory environments\nPrior experience, either in private practice or in-house, supporting the semiconductor industry, industrial technology companies, or multinational high-tech manufacturers.
