Your expertise will determine hardware compatibility and influence design, ensuring seamless integration between software and hardware.\nIn this role, you’ll make an impact across Lam’s entire product portfolio of equipment working within our centralized software engineering team, collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.\nWhat you’ll do\nResponsible for the design, development, and maintenance of LAM standards compliant software\nPlans, coordinates, and executes development activities within small to medium-sized projects\nResponsible for leading and driving projects involving multiple developers from within and other departments by taking complete ownership of component software\nResponsible for maintenance of install base by analyzing, debugging and fixing customer issues\nParticipates in customer issues and escalations to provide quick workarounds and long-term fixes\nResponsible for technically reviewing and mentoring junior engineers with the object to deliver high quality software on time\nInteract with peers across teams to carry out day to day activities\nInitiates and drives continuous improvement projects aimed at improving productivity enabling business units deliver products with minimum cost and shortest cycle time\nDrives productivity of the group by monitoring and reporting KPIs and driving necessary actions to address any gaps\nLead the identification, development, and responsible deployment of AI-enabled solutions for software engineering productivity, semiconductor equipment diagnostics by driving AI-assisted engineering practices, collaborating across software, process, hardware, field and support teams, and ensuring measurable quality, reliability and safe fallback behaviour\nWho we’re looking for\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering preferably Computer Sc / Electronics / Information Technology Years of Experience - 5 to 8 years\nMandatory Skills:\nProgramming knowledge in C - preferably in hardware interfacing\nKnowledge of RTOS\nExperience in SDLC - Participated in design, IM and testing of projects\nStrong analytical, logical, trouble shooting skills\nExcellent problem solving and decision-making skills\nHands on experience in complete project development life cycle\nExposure to customer management\nHands-on experience applying AI-assisted software engineering tools for code generation, code review, Unit test creation, defect analysis, and technical documentation, with strong validation and secure-use practices\nAbility to identify and deliver AI-enabled productivity solutions while protecting intellectual property, safety and regulatory compliance\nDesirable Skills: \nKnowledge of OOPS concepts, Scripting\nExperience in the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry\nUnderstanding of distributed systems and socket programming\nExcellent communication and Presentation skills\nExperience using equipment, sensor, alarm, trace, or log data for anomaly detection, predictive diagnostics, root-cause analysis, process monitoring, or maintenance optimization in semiconductor manufacturing systems\nFamiliarity with generative AI patterns and agentic workflows for engineering knowledge retrieval.\nExposure to deploying and monitoring AI solutions in production, including version control and lifecycle governance\nOur commitment\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
