You’ll set up processing equipment, conduct technical tests and experiments, process test runs, and present findings to optimize yield. Your technical expertise supports process development, contributing to Lam’s commitment to innovation.\nIn this role, you will directly contribute to process demonstrations and engineering projects for the Customer Support Business Group for both 2300 and Legacy Lam's etch tools.\nWhat you’ll do\nSupports Process Engineers in preparation for wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) tests, equipment setup, experiments, data collection, and sample submissions.\nOperates processing equipment and advanced tools with recipes defined by engineering teams to collect experiment results, capture measurements (e.g. thin film, CD, XSEM, other metrology tools pending on job assignment) and chemistry properties analysis.\nProcesses test runs and prepares records, charts, and schematics of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield optimization areas.\nProvides technical assistance to process development teams and process engineers.\nAssist in technical troubleshooting and improvement opportunities of the application lab tools and experiment setups.\nOther duties as assigned based on project needs and business requirements.\nWho we’re looking for\nCurrently enrolled and obtaining a BS in an engineering or science major (Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering)\nPreferred qualifications\nAbility to work in a clean room environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment (PPE), cleanroom suit, or smock.\nFoundational communication skills, reading and writing, in English.\nAbility to work a shift schedule.\nOur commitment\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
