You design methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating production processes and finished products onsite at our global suppliers’ locations. By analyzing production data, you identify trends and partner with the supplier to resolve technical, quality and production challenges. Your expertise will help develop excellence in supplier product inputs supporting Lam's commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable products.\nWhat you’ll do\nThis position is needed to support and manage suppliers who manufacture equipment frames and provides intergration services for the Value Added Frames (VAF) space.\nSupports product development from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial supplier support.\nPresent analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely.\nCollaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the development of suppliers, manufacturing of products, resolve manufacturing issues, and improve supplier quality.\nOn-site support of suppliers to qualify manufacturing processes, audit supplier quality systems. Ensure ERP and MES systems are robust and have effective control of manufacturing processes.\nMaintain a high degree of supplier face to face engagement and international travel to supplier sites to resolve product and supplier issues.\nWho we’re looking for\nBachelor's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of experience. \nExperience in quality management, auditing, 8D methodology, continuous improvement, 6S. \nExperience in supplier qualification and development \nExperience in various manufacturing processes needed to fabricate parts/assemblies in various environments, such as cleanrooms. \nCreative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities. \nExceptional clear communication and presentation skills. \nComfortable traveling up to 25% of the time. \nPreferred qualifications\nPrior Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Engineering, or Supplier Development experience in a complex manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated experience leading supplier qualification and manufacturing readiness activities, including process validation, capability assessments, factory readiness reviews, and supplier audits.\nExperience developing and improving inspection strategies, control plans, manufacturing process controls, and quality systems at supplier locations.\nStrong proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies, including 8D/RCCA, containment, corrective action verification, and recurrence prevention.\nStrong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze complex manufacturing issues and develop data-driven recommendations.\nExperience supporting semiconductor capital equipment, aerospace, automotive, or other high-complexity/high-reliability manufacturing is preferred.\nOur commitment\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
