You will support end users in a fast-paced lab environment while ensuring infrastructure, systems, and processes align with Lam standards and business requirements.\nThis role partners closely with global GIS teams, engineering stakeholders, and vendors to support and continuously improve lab technology, security posture, and operational effectiveness.\nWhat you’ll do\nLive Lam core values and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration \nSupport and execute IT-approved projects and directives aligned to business and engineering needs \nOwn day-to-day support and lifecycle management of lab IT/OT infrastructure, including compute, storage, network, cloud, and security technologies \nServe as the primary IT point of contact for the Engineering Lab, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support and managing escalations \nParticipate in an on-call rotation to ensure operational continuity \nPartner with global GIS peers to share best practices and align lab operations across sites \nMonitor system and network performance; proactively identify and resolve reliability, performance, and security issues \nDeploy and support hardware and software using approved Lam and GIS standards and procedures \nApply GIS and Corporate Change Control processes, including documentation, asset management, and vendor coordination \nSupport testing, piloting, and implementation of new technologies in support of evolving lab requirements \nMaintain accurate technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures \nIdentify and report security or policy non-compliance risks \nContinuously build technical expertise across supported platforms and emerging technologies \nPerform additional duties as business needs require \nTechnical Skills & Experience\nOperating Systems & Platforms\nHands-on experience with Windows Server, Windows client OS (10/7/legacy), and Unix/Linux platforms \nExperience with Microsoft RDP, Azure-based VDI, and automation tools \nNetworking & Connectivity\nExperience managing local and remote connectivity infrastructure \nStrong troubleshooting skills across end-to-end network and access issues \nSecurity & Compliance\nExperience supporting access control, PKI, firewalls, antivirus, and security best practices \nFamiliarity with security frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001) \nEmerging & Lab Technologies\nExperience supporting OT, IoT, automation, and lab-specific technologies \nWorking knowledge of cloud services, storage, robotics, RFID, VR/AR, and lab peripherals (e.g., Zebra devices) \nAdditional Requirements\nDemonstrated commitment to safety and compliance \nAbility to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization \nAbility to follow Lam and GIS policies for handling confidential company and customer data \nAbility to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving IT and lab equipment as required \nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 35-7+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT environments across multiple technology domains\n\nStrong customer focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, IT, and vendor teams\n\nBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience\n\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience supporting semiconductor, high-tech, or R&D environments\n\nHands-on experience working in Engineering Labs or cleanroom environments\n\nProven ability to work independently while managing competing priorities\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nOur commitment\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
