Job Description\nMaintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs.\nProduction metrics & equipment responsible to monitor, operate, maintain, changeover, and adjust (not an exhaustive list) includes line-flow rates, packaging material (paper, poly, cartons), scales, baggers, case-packers, case erectors, case settler/sealer, glue machine, case coder, grader room, etc.\nEnsures proper container sizing.\nRecords packaging machinery efficiencies, downtime and fills out reports accurately and correctly.\nResponsible for ensuring complete package quality of product taking regular checks of weights, seals, codes, glue patterns, etc. if needed.\nComplete CIL’s, Centerlines, and Defect Handling Standard Work.\nTroubleshoots equipment operation:\nAble to identify mechanical and electrical equipment problems and take action by notifying proper personnel.\nOperates equipment with minimum waste.\nHandles bulk activities, hand stacks, and reworks product in an expeditious manner reusing fiber when appropriate.\nBreak relief for other employees as needed.\nProvides direction to packaging laborers, general laborers, and temporary employees where and how to work to ensure efficient operation of the packaging room.\nQualified for Fire Watch duties.\n Basic & Preferred Qualifications\nMust have good communication skills oral and written.\nMust be able to climb stairs and ladders.\nMust be able to stand for long periods at a time.\nMust have the manual dexterity and ability to safely use cleaning equipment.\nMust have the ability to lift 50 pounds.\nMust be able to work in adverse conditions (i.e. extreme cold and heat, extreme wet, within closed surroundings).\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or on-the-job type training along with Team Leaders help and instruction.\n Industry-Competitive Benefits\nCoupled with our compensation and bonus incentive programs, our benefits deliver rewards that are market competitive.
