This includes line break sanitation activities, removing stagnant product from equipment, mixing and handling chemicals, and end of cycle cleaning. The general utility will flow through position and inspect raw and finished product looking and removing any foreign material and product quality defects. Rework finished cased product meeting hourly/daily targets through bag blending, opening and removing bags from cases and blending to line or to a tote across all lines.Job Description\nDemonstrate knowledge of cleaning agents and their uses, understand how to mix chemicals, identify hazards and first aid procedures associated with chemicals. \nClean equipment using established standard operating procedures using manual cleaning, use of high pressure hoses, ladders, air hoses and hot water units. \nRemove cases from pallets and reworking product through bag blending, reworking to totes or sorting out cases from the pallet. \nManually inspect raw and finished product for any foreign material, excess vine or quality defects removing any defective product and disposing. \nPerform firewatch duties as needed. \nMaintain a safe and clean work environment. \nActively participate in Company Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice Programs. \nBasic & Preferred Qualifications\nEducation/ Certifications:\nHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree Preferred. \nSkills and Experience:\nMust be able to communicate, comprehend, and follow instructions in English (both written and oral). \nMust be able to pass both practical performance and written sanitation exam. \nPhysical Environment/Demands:\nAbility to lift up to 40 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, shovel, twist and turn frequently. \nAbility to wear sanitation suit in environments that vary from hot to cold temperature. \nExposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. \nAbility to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures. \nMust be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. \nRequires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment \nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. \nExposure to manufacturing environments: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, humidity, oils, smells and allergens. \nExposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation. \nMay have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products. \nClimbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis. \nEmployee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily.
