This position provides an opportunity to build capabilities in plant operations which include manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and facilities care to help guide and promote career advancement. This is a cross-functional position with job functions such as:Trim inspector\nFrozen inspector\nRecase laborer\nIncluding tote construction and deconstruction\nwarehouse utility\nIncluding baling cardboard, operating the trash compactor, operating the tote dump, forklift and forklift with rotator in the frozen waste areas\nFlake drum attendant\nMuncher utility\nCutter deck utility\n•Various other tasks assigned\n Job Description\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):\nLoads, palletizes, bands, and maintains an accurate count and description of product handled\nPerforms sanitation duties including EOC, Master Sanitation Schedule, and Plant downtime\nDecase product and constructs or deconstructs totes as needed\nAssists in cleanup, inventory, material segregation\nUnderstands information that is on manifest tickets\nPerforms various outside tasks including in the attic or on the roof\nHandles and uses concentrated hazardous chemicals and wears associated PPE properly\nHandles, loads, and uses materials and ingredients\nUses hand and power tools occasionally\nOperates lift trucks safely\nKeeps the flake drum applicator rolls full of mash\nPerforms recordkeeping and reporting\nCommunicates with multiple groups across the site\nInspects and sorts product in a safe and effective manner\nMonitors equipment operations and changes settings if assigned\nPerforms utility duties associated with equipment and operations during start-up, shutdown, cut changes, EOC and normal operation\nAbides by all PPE requirements and LOTO policy 100% of the time\nRequired to train as needed\nPerforms in-line quality checks (i.e. magnet checks on flakes) as assigned\nQualified for Fire Watch\nPainting equipment, walls, framework, etc.\nSupports velocity initiatives\nUses established cleaning procedures, chemicals, tools, techniques, and maintains sanitary conditions ensuring bacteria and housekeeping are at acceptable levels.\nBreaks and relieves other employees\n Basic & Preferred Qualifications\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
