Responsible for all phases of assigned standard engineering projects. Ensures the successful completion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost.Job Description\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nThis position is responsible for all aspects of project work including; design, CIR write-ups, developing contractor bid packages, overseeing project installation, cost tracking, training and startup assistance as well as post project support.\nHas primary responsibility for making, revising, and maintaining all Plant drawings. (Using Autocad, Solidworks, or similar)\nPerforms analyses to develop design options and cost impacts\nWorks with maintenance supervisors on plant issues\nAssists in Maintaining contractor safety program\nSupports the Process Safety Management program\nDevelops and maintains the long-term capital plan.\nOriginates formal project requests, investigates problems, develops solutions in line with economic, personnel, and environmental considerations\nWorks closely with the plant engineering manager, the corporate engineering group, the plant staff and the production department.\nAssists in preparation of yearly budget for maintenance.\nResponsible for the purchase of materials for capital projects as assigned by the Plant Engineering Manager.\nBasic & Preferred Qualifications\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDirectly supervise outside contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. May be required to perform responsibilities of Maintenance Supervisor upon request.\nQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong PC skills including Windows, Word, Excel.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedural manuals. Ability to write legible reports and correspondences. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees, auditors and other groups.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nMust be proficient in mathematical calculation.\nREASONING ABILITY\nMust have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The noise level in the plant is usually loud.
