The key activities include interaction with cross functional stakeholders to manage spend and market analytics, generating insights from bid events, preparing supplier negotiation materials, supporting project execution and supplier relationship management, and driving controls and compliance (including definition of buying channels, execution and monitor of those). Sr. Procurement Specialist acts as a point of interaction between the Manufacturing Plants, Capital Category, and Facility Management.Job Description\nServes as the primary owner of assigned indirect categories, accountable for strategy development, sourcing execution, and supplier management. \nOperates with a high degree of autonomy, aligning with the manager on strategic decisions, critical risks, and long-range priorities. \nDefines requirements and templates for analytics and market intelligence. \nSupports continuous improvement and standardization of sourcing processes. \nAnalyzes spending, category profiles, and market insights to shape category and supplier strategies. \nDevelops Go-To-Market and negotiation strategies, aligning strategic direction with the manager. \nConducts supplier analyses, including financial and capability assessments. \nExecutes end-to-end sourcing projects for complex categories, collaborating with the manager on high-impact decisions. \nDrives stakeholder alignment across plants, FM, engineering, and global procurement. \nIdentifies stakeholders for strategy and sourcing projects and ensures their needs are incorporated. \nProvides regional support to close capability gaps and share subject-matter expertise. \nSupports supplier relationship activities, including performance reviews and corrective actions. \nDrives supplier performance by implementing best practices across regions. \nMonitors, controls, and reports for category KPIs, productivity, and payment term improvements. \nLeads TCO reduction sessions with internal customers for MRO categories. \nEnsures adherence to procurement policies, buying channels, and compliance requirements. \nCoordinates operational interactions and escalates issues as appropriate. \nBuilds and maintains knowledge repositories for global and local experience \nBasic & Preferred Qualifications\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in related field, required.\nSkills and Experience:\nMinimum 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain. \nExperience drafting, redlining, and negotiating supplier contracts (MSAs, SOWs, service agreements, Capital agreements). \nAbility to collaborate with Legal on contract language, risk mitigation, and commercial terms. \nStrong understanding of contract structures, liabilities, warranties, and service-level requirements. \nDemonstrated ability to lead category strategies, sourcing projects, negotiations, and supplier management with minimal oversight. \nStrong autonomy in decision-making while aligning with leadership on risks and strategic priorities. \nPreferred experience supporting manufacturing plant operations. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and complex projects. \nExcellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. \nDemonstrated cross-functional leadership. \nDomestic travel expectation up to 25% \nValid Driver’s License and driving record that meets Lamb Weston Driving Standards \nPhysical Environment/Demands:\nMost work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment \nIncumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal \nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach hands and arms; and talk or hear. \nIncumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday \nStooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties \n Industry-Competitive Benefits\nCoupled with our compensation and bonus incentive programs, our benefits deliver rewards that are market competitive.
