The role balances capacity, material availability, labor, changeovers, sanitation and maintenance windows, inventory targets, manufacturing efficiency, and customer service requirements. The Supply Planner serves as the execution bridge between supply planning and manufacturing by proactively identifying constraints, evaluating scenarios, recommending tradeoffs, and maintaining disciplined planning parameters and master data to improve plan reliability, execution readiness, and decision quality.Job Description\nSupply Planning & Production Scheduling\nDevelop and maintain supply and production plans across assigned plants, lines, or categories, translating approved supply requirements into executable schedules.\nAlign plans with demand priorities, capacity, material availability, labor, production rates, changeovers, sanitation and maintenance windows, and inventory objectives.\nManage plan and schedule stability while responding to demand shifts, supply constraints, and operational disruptions in a timely, fact-based manner.\nExecution Risk & Scenario Planning\nEvaluate supply and schedule risks related to capacity, material shortages, labor constraints, downtime, yield, quality holds, changeovers, sanitation windows, and production sequencing.\nBuild scenarios for production timing, recovery plans, inventory builds, constraint mitigation, and customer impact.\nQuantify tradeoffs across service, inventory, capacity utilization, manufacturing efficiency, cost, waste, and working capital; escalate material risks with clear options and recommended actions.\nDigital Planning & System-Based Decision-Making\nUse Kinaxis Maestro and other planning tools, dashboards, alerts, scenarios, optimization outputs, and digital workflows to support exception-based supply planning and scheduling.\nApply a trust-but-verify mindset to system-generated plans and recommendations by validating assumptions, parameters, constraints, data quality, and operational feasibility.\nDocument override rationale, identify automation opportunities, and partner with the Planning COE, Manufacturing, and technology teams to improve workflows, master data, and adoption.\nCross-Functional Alignment & Decision Support\nPartner with Manufacturing, Supply Capacity Planning, Materials Planning, Deployment, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Maintenance, Customer Service, Finance, and Commercial teams.\nFacilitate alignment on production priorities, schedule feasibility, constraint resolution, recovery actions, and inventory build strategies.\nCommunicate what changed, why it matters, the service and financial implications, and the decision needed while promoting enterprise-first outcomes rather than local optimization.\nPlanning Parameters, Performance & Continuous Improvement\nMaintain planning and scheduling parameters, including production rates, calendars, frozen windows, changeover rules, sanitation windows, sequencing logic, material constraints, and plant master data.\nMonitor supply plan and MPS adherence, schedule attainment and stability, production plan adherence, capacity utilization, changeover performance, service risk, and inventory impact.\nConduct root cause analysis on recurring misses and exceptions; recommend improvements to planning routines, governance, data quality, handoffs, and constraint ownership.\nScope: (Include scope/ complexity of the role that can be measured and are pertinent to the roles responsibilities)\nOwns supply and production plans, planning parameters, constraint visibility, and execution readiness for assigned plants, lines, categories, or products.\nSupports cross-functional decisions affecting customer service, inventory, capacity, manufacturing efficiency, cost, waste, and working capital across short- and mid-term planning horizons.\nOperates independently within E2E Planning governance, standardized processes, decision rights, and escalation paths.\nBasic & Preferred Qualifications\nEducation/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, or a related field required. Prior experience may also be considered.\nAPICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred; Lean, Six Sigma, or project management certification is a plus.\nSkills and Experience:\n5-8 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, master production scheduling, materials planning, manufacturing operations, or inventory planning.\nStrong understanding of supply planning, production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, constraint management, production sequencing, changeovers, and manufacturing operations.\nExperience using ERP and advanced planning systems such as SAP ECC, SAP IBP, Kinaxis Maestro, Oracle, Blue Yonder, o9, or equivalent.\nExperience with Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, or other analytical tools preferred.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to model scenarios, identify root causes, validate constraints, and recommend practical actions.\nAbility to influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate supply risks, tradeoffs, business implications, and recommendations clearly.\nStrong business acumen with understanding of customer service, inventory, cost, capacity utilization, manufacturing efficiency, waste, and working-capital tradeoffs.\nDemonstrated digital fluency, change agility, data stewardship, planning parameter discipline, and a trust-but-verify mindset toward system-generated plans and recommendations.\nSome travel may be required (% of time if significant)\nMost work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment\nIncumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. \nIncumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday\nStooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties\n Industry-Competitive Benefits\nCoupled with our compensation and bonus incentive programs, our benefits deliver rewards that are market competitive.
