One person, one GPU.\nIf you'd like to build the world's best AI cloud, join us.\n*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco or San Jose office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.\nWhat You'll Do\nPublic Cloud Revenue Forecasting\nOwn the Public Cloud revenue forecast across on-demand, reserved, and committed-use offerings\n\nBuild and maintain driver-based models linking capacity, utilization, and pricing to revenue\n\nForecast new customer acquisition, expansion, contraction, and churn by product line\n\nDeliver monthly revenue forecasts along with variance analysis and commentary\n\nPartner with Accounting on billing, consumption reconciliation, and revenue recognition\n\nHeadcount & OpEx Management (BvA)\nOwn OpEx and headcount planning, tracking, and reporting for the Public Cloud organization\n\nMaintain hiring plans, compensation assumptions, and organizational change tracking against approved headcount\n\nPrepare monthly and quarterly budget vs. actual analysis, identify key drivers, and partner with business owners to explain performance\n\nSupport accrual and reclassification inputs with Accounting through the monthly close\n\nGTM Finance Partnership & Strategy\nServe as the finance partner to Public Cloud GTM leadership on go-to-market planning and resource allocation\n\nModel sales capacity, quota coverage, and rep productivity; evaluate territory and quota scenarios\n\nAnalyze pipeline conversion, bookings-to-revenue linkage, and funnel efficiency\n\nBuild the business case for GTM investments and measure realized return\n\nCustomer Segment Analysis\nDevelop segment-level views of revenue, margin, retention, and lifetime value\n\nBuild cohort and consumption-behavior analyses to identify expansion opportunity and churn risk\n\nSize segment opportunity and inform prioritization across self-serve, mid-market, and enterprise\n\nSurface customer concentration risk and account-level margin outliers to leadership\n\nPricing Support\nSupport pricing strategy with margin, elasticity, and competitive analysis across instance types and regions\n\nModel P&L impact of list price changes, discount structures, and committed-use constructs\n\nSupport deal review on non-standard pricing, approval thresholds, and margin guardrails\n\nInternal Usage & Allocation\nTrack and report internal, non-revenue consumption of Public Cloud capacity across Engineering, Research, and demo or benchmark use\n\nBuild and maintain allocation and chargeback methodology\n\nQuantify the opportunity cost of internal usage relative to external monetization\n\nPartner with Infrastructure Finance on capacity availability and utilization reporting\n\nExecutive Reporting & Communication\nDeliver Public Cloud insights for monthly business reviews, executive reviews, and board materials\n\nTranslate consumption and operational data into a clear financial narrative\n\nProvide actionable recommendations to drive revenue growth, margin, and capital efficiency\n\nYou\nHave a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field\n\nHave 4+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, GTM or sales finance, investment banking, or consulting, ideally with a focus on Cloud / AI infrastructure, SaaS, Data centers, Telecom, or Hardware\n\nHave direct experience forecasting revenue in a consumption-based or usage-based business model\n\nPossess extensive experience in financial modeling and analysis, with a deep expertise in constructing complex financial models and interpreting financial statements to drive strategic decision-making\n\nHave excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills\n\nPossess strong Excel skills and experience with financial software systems\n\nHave the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing multiple complex projects\n\nHave excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely\n\nAre comfortable partnering directly with senior commercial and technical stakeholders\n\nAre a team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous improvement\n\nAre able to work in an ambiguous environment with very little direction\n\nNice to Have\nPrior experience in a startup or high-growth organization, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility to thrive in such environments\n\nExperience with pricing strategy, unit economics, or deal desk support\n\nWorking proficiency in SQL and comfort querying large data sets directly\n\nExperience with enterprise planning systems and CRM data\n\nFamiliarity with GPU compute, AI/ML workloads, or public cloud infrastructure\n\nSalary Range Information\nThe annual salary range for this position has been set based on market data and other factors.
