If you would like to join a rapidly expanding business that can offer up good opportunities for career development and professional personal growth, you should apply today and lets talk.\nWhat will my core responsibilities be?\nSupporting the Accommodation Maintenance Team at The University of the West England (UWE) you will be responsible for the completion of both pre-planned and reactive remedial repairs and maintenance, to the internal and external fabric of student accommodation.\nPlay a support role in planning and completing a range of works associated with joinery, tiling, drainage, plumbing, plastering and flooring.\nUse your own initiative to solve technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.\nCarry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring that you comply with current regulations and contract specifications.\nReport and record procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.\nUtilise PDAs or electronic devices to complete works.\nLiaise closely with our Helpdesk to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team.\nObserve the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.\nWhat skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?\nDemonstrable experience in Building Maintenance\nStrong communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.\nGood planning and organisational skills to keep on top of priorities\nGood record keeping skills and comfortable using a PDA system\nAn adaptable team worker keen to get involved and support others\nDesirable\nCSCS Card\nIT Skills - in the use of PDA’s\nAsbestos awareness training (UKATA)\nWe are an equal opportunities employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.\nBuilding Communities at Lancer Scott\nAt Lancer Scott, we’re committed to giving back through hands-on support, funding, and partnerships that create lasting impact.
