Also, responsible for managing quality performance, cost parameters, and customer service for internal customers. Leads others on 2nd / 3rd Shift.\nResponsibilities:\nAssists and directs the implementation of design modifications, repair of production equipment, mechanical safety installations and maintenance of other mechanical devices within the plant. The individual will oversee production processes, installation of new equipment and repair of mechanically functioning equipment, including boilers, air compressors, refrigeration, wastewater treatment, process equipment and controls.\n\nWorks cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.\n\nSupervises the day-to-day operations of a group of employees to assure a smooth workflow. Assigns, monitors, and reviews the progress and accuracy of assigned work.\n\nEstimates personnel needs and ensures adequate staffing to meet pre-established completion dates.\n\nHandles unusual or difficult inquiries / situations through direct personal action or refers to the appropriate individual.\n\nResponsible for training and development of subordinate staff, schedules and approves overtime, takes disciplinary actions, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.\n\nSupervisory responsibilities: Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff.\n\nHours: 10:45pm-7am. Must be able to work extended hours. Weekend and holiday hours may be required based on production’s needs.\n Education / Experience (Required)\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technical discipline plus 2 years of technical production / operations experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3years of military operations and leadership experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR High School Diploma and 7 plus years of technical production / operations or technical maintenance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.\n\nExperience in Food Manufacturing or Industrial Maintenance Operations\n\nSupervisory, communication, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.\n\nComputer and PLC skills.\n\nExperience in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and leading continuous improvement initiatives.\n\n Competencies / Skills (Required):\nTechnical / Analytical Competence - Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions. Skilled in applying broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in the area of specialization.\n\nEnsures accountability, Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.\n\nDrives engagement, Create a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.\n\nManages ambiguity, Operate effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear\n\nCollaborates, Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.\n\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
