Also responsible for providing tactical and decision-making support to the Plant Manager and core operations team members.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nDevelops and directs programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of facility.\n\nManages safety, quality, service, and cost performance within assigned area.\n\nEnsures compliance with the organization's policies and procedures.\n\nMakes recommendations to senior management on long range labor strategies and capital equipment needs.\n\nDevelops and implements recommendations to change systems, policies, and procedures; ensure timely and accurate implementation.\n\nPrepares and maintains accurate, timely and complete documentation regarding all aspects of production.\n\nCollaborates with Human Resources in employee relations matters and ensures consistent application of policy expectations.\n\nImplements strategies and tactics that align with department and company vision and goals.\n\nDevelops and maintains operating budget and capital spending plans for assigned area of responsibility.\n\nIdentifies, obtains, and develops staff capabilities needed to consistently meet departmental objectives.\n\nEnsures industry best practices are applied and employees are trained accordingly.\n\nResponsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. Also responsible for ensuring HALAL and Kosher compliance in the Carlisle facility and GMPs.\n\nThis job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict other tasks that may be assigned.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDevelops, coaches and mentor subordinate staff.\n\nConducts performance evaluations; recommends salary adjustments; rewards employees or takes disciplinary action, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.\n\nREQUIRED COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:\nAbility to communicate with a variety of people & personalities\n\nMust be able to make quick decisions on the spot & support those decisions to your peers, employees, and plant leadership\n\nAbility to consistently meet deadlines\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects & multi-task with ease\n\nMust be detail oriented and have excellent follow through\n\nActive listening skills are a must\n\nAbility to influence a positive employee environment\n\nAbility to drive safety & safe behaviors while maintaining the goal of preventing all injuries\n\nMust be able to influence & drive change management\n\nHigh speed manufacturing experience\n\nREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor's degree required and 7+ years of supervisory/management experience in food processing/manufacturing operations with solid progressive leadership experience.\n\nStrong presentation, communication, training, and interpersonal skills.\n\nProven track record of understanding the drivers of product and labor cost variances.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nMBA or master’s degree in Engineering, preferred.\n\nExperience working in a 24/7 environment highly preferred.\n\nKnowledge of reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical and business journals, financial reports, and legal documents.\n\nExperience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.\n\nExperience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.\n\nProven ability to work with all levels and functions within the company.\n\nSkilled in project management.\n\nExperience leveraging skills and abilities of front-line employees.\n\nKnowledge and exposure to TPM, Six Sigma, and various problem-solving methodologies.\n\nHours: This role may require off-shift hours, weekends and holidays as needed. This location is a 24/7 facility, running 365 days/year.\nSalary Range: $120,880 - $181,320.
