You will work closely with the plant and corporate management staff to ensure that the highest quality of finished product is produced within the scheduled timelines in a safe and efficient manner.\nTraining and development of people is key! You will gather input for performance reviews and actively coach/mentor employees to reach their optimum potential. You will also make corrections as needed, coordinating with Production Leads and Trainers. Hiring the best people is our goal. Take active leadership role in promoting diversity and inclusion.\nWe focus on continuous improvement in cost, quality, service, people, and environment thru efficient use of materials, equipment, and resources. You will be able to use your initiative to share best practices within the facility, across our supply chain, and with external resources to achieve leading-edge manufacturing and supply chain technologies.\nHours: 10:30pm-7:30am typically, 10 days on 4 off. This position will be expected to flex core hours as needed. Weekend and holiday hours may be required based on production’s needs.\nWe are a team-oriented environment. You will partner with plant Management, Quality, Maintenance, Human Resources, Scheduling and Logistics.\nOther focuses:\nSafety, Quality, Delivery, and Morale at the Kiel facility.\n\nRoot cause/corrective action investigations for unplanned events.\n\nEnsure compliance of GMP’s and the Food Safety Plan.\n\nCommunicate and coordinate with supervisors and functions to optimize operations and resources.\n\nPlan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production schedules to meet and exceed customer requirements and business goals.\n\nUnderstand the financial impact of Line Efficiency, Material Yield, and Labor Productivity on plant budgets and develop Action Plans to address gaps.\n\nTake active leadership role in promoting diversity and inclusion.\n\nEducation & Experience (Required):\nHigh school/GED and 2+ years’ experience in shift supervision (preferably in food processing environment).\n\nExperience with GMP's, HAACP, sanitation, and quality assurance.\n\nMust possess strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, and decision-making skills.\n\nExcellent oral, written, and presentation skills at various levels of the company.\n\nLeads through positive influence.\n\nComputer skills, including usage of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.\n\nEffective communication skills for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment.\n\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects while remaining organized and detail-oriented.\n\nEducation & Experience (Preferred):\nFour-year degree from an accredited college or university strongly preferred. While working in the manufacturing areas, the incumbent is required to wear personal protective equipment.\n\nSalary Range: $70,800 - $106,200.
