You will be responsible for warehouse operations at the Story City, IA Distribution Center. Your role will include providing leadership, direction and development of warehouse employees in a 1-shift/5-days a week operation.\nYou will lead and develop the 1st shift staff at our location. Key responsibilities include talent management and scheduling staff, supply chain operations and management, compliance & safety training and oversight, and other duties as assigned. You will contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of safety, production, service, quality, inventory control standards and employee development for the site. You will maintain effective business relationships with local sales team members, customer service and other Winfield locations as well as corporate shared services business partners.\nRequired Experience/Education:\nEducation: High School Diploma/GED required\n Supervisory Experience: 1+ years of experience managing people\nCandidates in the rotational Land O’Lakes programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered.\nLeadership: 2+ years of experience with operations and/or warehouse management. Ability to demonstrate successful past leadership in operations, warehouse management, and/or managing personnel\nTechnology: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software\nPreferred Experience/Education:\nEducation: Associates or Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field\nSupervisory Experience: 5+ years or more experience managing people\nBudgeting/Forecasting: practice experience building sales and inventory forecasts, collaborating with internal supply chain partners, and/or managing a substantial budget\nRegulations/Compliance: Experience working with DOT regulations, EH&S programs, and other compliance/safety procedures.\nSkills: Forklift experience\nPhysical Requirements when working in the warehouse:\nAble to lift/carry up to 60 pounds\nFrequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements\nPerforming duties while wearing personal protective equipment\nWorking in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present\nOperational Hours: Location operates 1 shifts/5 days a week; weekends as needed.
