Depending on experience.\nPosition Summary\nThe Inventory & Production Scheduling Coordinator supports plant operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating materials, and supporting efficient production scheduling. This role helps ensure materials are available when needed, production schedules align with customer demand, and inventory levels are properly maintained to support plant efficiency and customer service.\nWorking closely with Production, Warehouse, Planning, Customer Service, Quality, and Manufacturing teams, this position plays an important role in inventory control, work order management, production sequencing, and schedule coordination. The coordinator also serves as a key point of contact for internal and external customers, representing the Mason City facility and supporting the achievement of operational goals.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.\nPerform cycle counts and inventory audits, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.\nEnsure inventory receipts, transfers, adjustments, and material consumption transactions are accurately recorded in applicable systems.\nMonitor inventory age and identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess materials.\nPartner with Warehouse and Accounting teams to reconcile inventory and resolve discrepancies.\nReview inventory trends and recommend process improvements to reduce inventory losses and improve accuracy.\nPartner with the Planning team to develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, production capacity, and material availability.\nCoordinate production sequencing to improve efficiency and minimize changeovers, flushes, downtime, and material waste.\nCommunicate production priorities, schedule changes, and material requirements to plant personnel and operations leadership.\nMonitor production schedule attainment and adjust plans as needed to support customer commitments.\nIdentify potential material shortages and coordinate with appropriate teams to address supply constraints before they impact production.\nSupport work order management and other administrative activities related to inventory control and production planning.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in plant operations.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nAt least one year of administrative or inventory control experience.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nStrong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to build and maintain positive working relationships across teams.\nAbility to learn and use enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.\nAbility to type at least 40 words per minute.\nAbility to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment and obtain a forklift license.\nAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate degree.\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing or production environment.\nExperience with inventory management, production scheduling, or work order systems.\nExperience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking and reporting.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.\nAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a forklift license.\nEEO Statement\nLand O’Lakes is an equal opportunity employer and expressly prohibits any form of workplace harassment or discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.\nAbout Land O'Lakes, Inc.\nJoin us and be part of a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative that is reimagining the business of food.
