Our team adheres to stringent safety protocols and environmental stewardship standards.\nThe 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for formulation and packaging operations on 2nd Shift. The role is accountable for safety, quality, delivery, yield, cost, workforce performance, and effective coordination between both areas. The supervisor develops employees, resolves operational issues, and partners with plant and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead safe, compliant second-shift operations and enforce environmental, health, safety, quality, SOP, and work-rule requirements.\nDirect formulation and packaging activities to meet production schedules and safety, quality, delivery, cost, throughput, and inventory-yield objectives.\nSupervise, coach, and develop employees; manage performance, progressive discipline, staffing, temporary labor, workforce planning, and cross-training.\nCoordinate people, materials, and equipment across Formulation and Packaging to maintain efficient production flow and effective shift handoffs.\nTroubleshoot operational and technical issues with plant management and cross-functional partners, and implement sustainable corrective actions.\nLead and support continuous-improvement, cost-reduction, product-introduction, process-change, and equipment-startup activities.\nEnsure production records, batch sheets, run sheets, shift reports, and related documentation are complete, accurate, and timely.\nMonitor and communicate operating performance, risks, priorities, and required follow-up to employees, other shifts, and management.\nControl operating expenses, reduce losses, improve yield and throughput, and support customer requirements as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Experience/Education:\nHigh School Diploma/GED\n3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment\nCandidates in the rotational Land O' Lakes programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing safety, quality, regulatory, and production requirements.\nDemonstrated ability to lead teams, establish accountability, manage employee performance, and make sound operating decisions.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nAbility to work second shift and provide additional support based on operational needs.\nPreferred Experience/Education:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Chemistry, or a related field.\nExperience in formulation, batch processing, packaging operations, or a combination of these disciplines.\nExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, process safety management, or quality management systems.\nExperience in chemical formulation, batch processing, liquid or granular packaging, or high-speed manufacturing.\nSalary: $70,800 - $106,200\nIn most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges\nAbout Land O'Lakes, Inc.\nJoin us and be part of a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative that is reimagining the business of food.
