Reporting to the VP, Global Accounting Operations, this position has responsibility for the corporate controls environment and consistently delivering accurate and timely internal and external legal entity financial statements. The Regional Controller is responsible for leading these efforts and partnering with other areas of business to capture best practices and ensure accounting consistency is realized across the entire organization.\nAs RegionalController,you will oversee and drive the ongoing improvement of streamline all accounting and financial reporting functions to ensure compliance with local regulations, U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. You will lead month-end/year-end closes, support audit activities, manage internal controls, and ensure accuracy in financial statements and disclosures. Your insights will inform strategic decisions and safeguard the financial health and integrity of the organization.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFinancial Reporting & Compliance:\nOversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual legal entityfinancial statements under U.S. GAAP. \nEnsure compliance with SEC filing requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards.\nSupport internal and external audits, review audit reports and drive corrective actions.\nPrepare analysis and documentation for fluctuations and variances for each close period. \nLiaise with Group Reporting & FP&A on US GAAP treatment, global accounting policy, SOX and SEC filing requirements.\nAccounting Management:\nImplement and enforce group-wide accounting policies, protocols and controls to ensure consistency, clarity and compliance all at all levels and across the company. Develop local applications of group policies.\nProvide on-going review of accounting systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.\nLead full-cycle accounting processes: GL, accruals, intercompany, fixed assets, leases, and tax provisions. \nLiaison with Shared Service Center team to ensure accurate, timely and effective accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.\nEnsure accuracy in accounting entries and closely monitor account reconciliations and intercompany entries.\nResponsiblefor reviewing the group account analyses and reconciliations \nManage thegroup month end close process and validate accuracy of procedures. \nReview group journal entries for accuracy and GAAP compliance. \nProvide guidance to accounting staff when recording transactions and entries to the general ledger for properUS GAAP and local statutory treatment. \nEnsure accurate balances and proper research and analysis of general ledger account details. \nInternal Controls & Risk Management\nLead, oversee and/or support SAP S4/HANA, SOX and other system architecture implementation or enhancements in collaboration with Group and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, complete and timely financial reporting with increased visibility and efficiency.\nImplement and maintain internal control frameworks and documentation per Group standards and SOX. \nConduct internal risk assessments and improve accounting processes.\nWork with Financial Reporting department in completing the external and internal reports and audits. \nBudgeting, Forecasting & Analysis\nCollaborate on annual budgeting and forecasting process with FP&A teams. \nCoordinate and support group with annual financial plan in reference to balance sheet and cash flow forecasting.\nCompletead-hoc analyses when needed. \nCash, Tax & Treasury\nCoordinate with Treasury and Tax teams for reporting of cash flow, working capital management, and banking relationships.\nOversee tax provision and filings; ensure compliance with federal/state/local tax regulations.\nLeadership & Team Development\nProvide leadership and manage teams responsible for all aspects of general accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, cash management, shared services and payroll.\nDrive adoption and optimization of ERP (SAP) and finance tools. \nCollaborate cross-functionally with Global Accounting Operations, Reporting, FP&A, Audit, Tax, Legal, HR and IT. Must apply critical thinking skills to determine best financial approach, to maintain budget controls and to supervise a professional staff.\nUnderstanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition rules \nStrong oral and written communication skills appropriate for all levels of management, the company’s Board of Directors, and with external consultants. \nPossess strong leadership and mentoring skills to effectively delegate and develop professional teams in the corporate accounting department on an ongoing basis.\n\nAccountabilities\n\nDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent communication skills to present findings and collaborate with stakeholders.\nHigh ethical standards and ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; master’s degree or CPA preferred.\nMinimum 8 years of progressive accounting/finance exposure, including at least 3 years in a public company or multinational environment.\nPrior leadership experience managing teams.\nExperience operating in matrixed, multi-country environments.\nTechnical Skills\nExperience in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. \nProficiency with ERP systems (SAP FI/CO strongly preferred, S4 Hana a plus) and understanding of cross functional impacts of changes in processes.\nSkilled in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.\n\nAs a part of the Landis+Gyr family, employees are offered a comprehensive and competitive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k)-retirement plan featuring a generous company match incentive.
