Mentor Junior developers in the use of tools, proper coding practices, and understanding requirements. Collaborates with Product Management, Project management and other R&D teams in design, development, and validation of complete Smart Grid solutions. Collaborates with SMEs and business partners on component and system design.\nKey Responsibilities:\nServe as the technical lead for larger projects, establishing technical direction as well as monitoring project management metrics.\nProvide leadership in design, development, documentation, unit testing, etc.\nDevelop specifications including functional requirements, detailed design, code, and test procedures as part of agile/iterative SDP team.\nIdentify technical areas for improvement and make detailed business cases for improvements or new areas of opportunities.\nProvide support, troubleshoot, and resolve sustaining issues with high Quality Output.\nDevelop and unit test features in the Company's software products.\nProvide detailed & accurate estimates for code development efforts.\nConduct code reviews with the team (subordinates) to improve compliance with established best practices and coding standards.\nLead in component and/or solution design, development, documentation, and validation.\nWork on agile development teams, collaborating with multiple cross-discipline architecture teams, Cloud Infrastructure Team to develop software components as part of L+G Smart Grid solutions.\nParticipate in recruitment, development and mentoring junior engineers.\nLead functional area-specific continuous improvement initiatives.\nLead in innovative technology and solutions development and/or validation\nCompany Values:\nSupports and adheres to Company’s core values.\nPerforms other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.\nSupports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.\nRepresents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nExpert status with .NET Core, Helm and C#.\nStrong SOAP Web Services, REST API and TCP/IP Knowledge.\nExperience with Windows Operating Systems, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (GKE, RKE2) and Kafka messaging.\nExperience with Database scripting (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server)\nExperience with agile/iterative software design process.\nDemonstrated team leadership skills.\nProficiency with development processes, tools, and related frameworks.\nProficiency with relevant development and/or validation methodologies\nAdvanced design, development, or validation skills in functional area.\nAbility to understand data effectively to solve problems and support ideas.\nAbility to design, break down, and complete a project of a large scope with high-level productivity.\nExperience with electric/gas/water Meters or other IoT devices a plus\nExperience with LwM2M, LTE protocol and DLMS, ANSI, Wi-SUN data exchange standard a plus\nExperience with AMI and Smart Grid Systems and Solutions a plus.\nAccountabilities:\nAbility to energize and mentor junior team members of the team to achieve deliverables.\nAbility to work on complex R&D projects without supervision.\nAbility to communicate effectively across audiences and through multiple mediums.\nAbility to work with others of diverse backgrounds.\nAbility to exercise critical thinking and creative problem solving.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a cross-regional team.\nAbility to stay current on changing technologies and their applications in the utility industry.\nAbility to learn independently and facilitate training and knowledge sharing across multiple teams.\nProactively find problems of existing system/product without guidance and offer solutions.\nAbility to lead a project with a small group of people, such as hosting weekly meetings, communicate with other partners in written forms.\nAbility to give on-point and actionable feedback to peers.\nAbility to build cross-teams and cross-functional relationships which will facilitate ongoing projects.\nMake contributions to improve the engineering team.
