For more than 50 years, we've created site furnishings that help designers and clients build beautiful, functional environments that enhance the experience of outdoor spaces. \nOur secret is simple: Design, Culture, and Craft drive everything we do. \nHow You Contribute \nTalent Acquisition & Recruiting \nSupport full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing positions, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility as skills and experience develop. \nPartner with People Department team members and hiring leaders to understand staffing needs and position requirements. \nSource and engage prospective candidates through job boards, outreach, and other recruiting channels. \nConduct initial phone screens, evaluate candidate qualifications, and coordinate next steps with hiring leaders. \nAssist with interview scheduling, candidate communication, and recruitment coordination. \nMaintain accurate candidate information and recruiting activity in our Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse). \nHelp track recruiting metrics, identify trends, and recommend opportunities to improve our hiring processes. \nCandidate Experience & Employer Branding \nHelp create a welcoming, responsive, and organized experience for candidates throughout the hiring process. \nSupport our Select for Talent approach to identifying and evaluating candidates. \nAssist with recruiting campaigns, job advertisements, and employer branding initiatives. \nResearch and recommend creative ways to attract and engage prospective candidates. \nParticipate in career fairs, hiring events, school partnerships, and community outreach activities. \nPeople Department Projects & Engagement \nAssist with planning and coordinating team member engagement activities, recognition events, and company gatherings. \nSupport special projects involving internal communications, surveys, reporting, and process improvements. \nHelp coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, materials, and communications. \nCollaborate with People Department team members to learn about different areas of Human Resources. \nContribute ideas that strengthen our team member experience and support our culture. \nWhat You'll Gain \nThis internship is designed to provide practical experience and professional development in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources. You'll have opportunities to: \nGain hands-on experience with sourcing, screening, interviewing, and the full recruiting lifecycle. \nLearn how recruiting strategies support manufacturing operations and broader business goals. \nDevelop experience using Greenhouse and other HR and recruiting technologies. \nBuild professional communication, interviewing, organization, and relationship-building skills. \nGain exposure to employment practices, hiring processes, and candidate evaluation. \nCollaborate with hiring leaders and experienced People Department professionals. \nParticipate in meaningful projects that allow you to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting. \nWhat You Bring \nCurrently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field. \nAn interest in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and working within a manufacturing environment. \nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect professionally with a variety of individuals. \nExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. \nA willingness to learn, ask questions, accept feedback, and take initiative. \nA collaborative, positive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. \nComfort learning and using technology, including Microsoft Office and other business systems. \nThe ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality. \nPrevious recruiting or Human Resources experience is not required. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow. \nInternship Details \nThis is a part-time, onsite internship based at our Kalamazoo, Michigan facility, with a schedule of up to 30 hours per week. \nAnticipated Duration: Now through Spring 2027, with the potential to work full-time during the summer and transition into a full-time role if it's the right fit for both the candidate and the organization. \nSchedule: Monday through Friday, with flexible hours based on your class schedule. \nPhysical Requirements & Work Environment \nThis position is primarily performed in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. Responsibilities may involve prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and occasional walking or standing while attending meetings, events, or activities throughout the facility.
