This hands-on individual will serve a key function developing new clients for the firm as well as designing land development engineering projects for a wide variety of exciting projects in the area. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage and mentor a team of multidisciplinary engineers, lead design efforts, and develop and maintain clients for the firm. \nJob Responsibilities\nWork closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization; \nPossess an entrepreneurial demeanor and participate in Business Development activities by developing new clients for the firm and maintaining relationships with existing clients; \nDesign and oversee design on a variety of projects including layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;\nLead all aspects of land development engineering including the integration of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering;\nProvide leadership, mentorship and coaching to a team of technical staff. Responsible for performance management, professional growth and career development of civil personnel; and\nPerforms other duties as requested.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Master's degree a plus;\n8+ years experience in related civil land development engineering; \nProven leadership and ability to function as a seller/doers;\nKnowledge of local land use entitlement processes and regulations;\nDemonstrated expertise in all aspects of land development engineering including the integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering;\nExpertise in stormwater management design, LID and hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design;\nExperience in technical and proposal writing;\nStrong client development and client management abilities;\nProficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred);\nActive participation in professional organizations;\nAbility to effectively work independently and in a team environment, and to mentor staff engineers;\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills;\nStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and \nPossess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing. \nLangan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives.
