This individual will serve a key function in researching and documenting cyber security best practices and tools. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience working on Information Technology cyber security projects for an engineering consulting firm.\nJob Responsibilities\nResearch emerging trends and new security technologies;\nEvaluate current security measures in place and collaborate with network team on recommended improvements;\nImplement enterprise wide security standards, procedures and guidelines;\nAssist in end user security awareness and training;\nMonitor security events and assist in mitigation of active threats;\nAssist in identifying compliance gaps and implement appropriate controls;\nReview policies and procedures; and\nConduct security training and testing.\nQualifications\nStudent actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;\nCumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred;\nAbility to work at least 25 hours per week during the semester;\nCertifications preferred but not required: Blue Team Level 1 Certification, eJPT, eCPPT, AZ-900, AZ-500;\nActive participation on cybersecurity learning platforms such as Tryhackme, Hackthebox;\nInterest and/or experience in offensive security;\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);\nAbility to provide an outstanding work product with strong attention to detail;\nAbility to proactively organize, prioritize, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment;\nExcellent communication skills; and\nSelf-motivated, adaptable, and dependable.\nPlease submit your resume.
