This individual will serve a key function in the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in site/civil engineering design for mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal, and other exciting land development projects.\nJob Responsibilities\nLead planning, design, and permitting for civil/site and infrastructure projects using engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) in collaboration with Project Engineers.\nEffectively uses software, reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, aerial photographs, and guidelines and manuals to assess soil composition, terrain, hydraulic and hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.\nLeads tasks associated with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates and designs for projects.\nPerform feasibility analyses, cost calculations, and sustainability assessments for development projects.\nManage project tasks within established budgets and schedules.\nCoordinate and perform field inspections, as required.\nPrepare, review, and finalize technical reports (e.g., stormwater, utilities, feasibility studies).\nCollaborate with Technical Directors on proposals, budgets, and invoice reviews.\nCommunicate and interface effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.\nApply engineering principles, advanced mathematics, and sustainability/resiliency best practices to project work.\nReview and ensure quality of work produced by staff.\nSupervise, coordinate, and mentor staff, including engineers and interns; support training and professional development.\nCollaborate across offices and disciplines, supporting cross-functional project needs and training initiatives.\nIdentify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.\nMaintain current knowledge of engineering practices, regulations, and safety standards; actively participate in professional organizations and training.\nPerforms other duties as requested.\nQualifications\n8+ years’ experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater; management, drainage, and soil erosion is desired;\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;\nProven track record of delivering Data Centers for Hyperscale Clients preferred;\nKnowledge of sustainability and resiliency best practices;\nStrong attention to detail;\nAbility to multi-task effectively;\nExcellent analytical and judgment capabilities;\nAbility to work well individually and within groups;\nStrong written and verbal communication skills;\nStrong AutoCAD and Civil 3D design skills;\nAbility to oversee, coach and train staff;\nAbility to occasionally participate in site visits and work during evenings and/or weekends, as needed by project schedule;\nOccasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required;\nMust have a valid driver’s license;\nLangan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives.
