In this role, you will sit on the front lines of our daily client communications - primarily managing our support inbox and resolving incoming client inquiries via email. You will assist users with navigating the Lano platform, guide them through operational workflows and ensure every client request is handled accurately and on time.\nMain Tasks:\nActive Email Operations Support:Serve as the first point of contact for daily client requests via email, providing clear, structured, and timely updates.\nWorkflow Execution:Handle core operational tasks directly, such as gathering compliance documents, data quality control and processing payroll requests within the Lano system.\nInternal Coordination:Collaborate closely with internal specialist teams (Finance, Global Payroll, Compliance, and Account Management) to drive client requests across the finish line.\nRequest & Task Tracking:Keep internal task boards and CRM tools updated, ensuring open operational tickets are monitored, followed up on, and closed reliably.\nDocumentation & Data Quality:Ensure client files, contractor records, and process logs are kept 100% accurate across our systems.\nProcess Improvement:Identify recurring client inquiries and contribute ideas to refine internal workflows, optimize team processes, and improve overall response efficiency.\nYour Profile:\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Business Management, Economics, International Business, Communication, or a related field at a university in Germany.\nExcellent written communication skills, with a focus on clear and professional email etiquette.\nDetail-oriented and comfortable managing operational workflows, digital tools, and data.\nHighly organized with strong time management skills to handle high email volume.\nProactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.\nPrevious experience in client support, administration, operations, or SaaS is a plus, but not required.\nFluent in English; German is a plus.\nNice to have:\nIf you’ve worked in a Payroll provider or in the Payroll industry, this would be great.\nBasic familiarity or interest in Business Development, Fintech, Accounting, or legal/compliance operations.\nWhat We Offer\nA flexible work environment that values work-life balance.\nFitness membership with ClassPass.\n21 days of vacation per year.\n2 social impact days to support a charity or non-profit of your choice.\nCareer development and growth opportunities in a dynamic startup.\nA collaborative, inclusive company culture with a diverse, international team.\nPlease submit your application in English.\nWe value humility and character as much as talent, so please apply even if you feel you only meet part of our listed criteria.
