They help ensure evaluations are thorough, timely, and aligned with student needs and special education compliance requirements.\nQualifications\nMaster’s Degree and prior approval as a Teacher Consultant by the Michigan Department of Education\nProvides support to Special Education students\nNeed to be able to work with Lead and Classroom Teachers to help them with student behaviors andacademics.\n\nLearning disability and emotional impairment experience preferred\nDemonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, knowledge of assessmentsand diagnosis and research related to learning, instructional strategies, and classroom management.\n\nDemonstrate an understanding of current rules and regulations regarding Child Study Teams and specialeducation assessment and program requirements.\n\nDemonstrates enthusiasm and the interpersonal skills to relate with students, staff, administration,parents, and the community.\n\nDemonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.\nDemonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, informationretrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.\n\nAttend required staff meetings and serve, as appropriate, on staff committees.\n Participate in faculty, school, parent, and community meetings and programs with the intent to shareavailable resources.\n\nConduct or provide staff development sessions to promote an increased competency and increasestudent participation in academic success. \n\nJob Responsibilities\nMaintain caseload of at-risk learners to provide support and behavioral interventions leading to academicsuccess.\n\nMust be able to meet timelines and monthly deadlines. \nAssist families with finding necessary resources.\n Monitor students’ data to demonstrate academic and behavioral growth.\nDevelop and monitor goals for students and the criteria for success.\nCommunicate individual plans for students to staff to facilitate a whole school approach to studentimprovement.\n\n Work in collaboration with school administration to address the needs of our most at-risk learners, withthe focus on improving academics.\n\n Providing staff with essential information to develop interventions for academics and behavioral success. \nIdentifying and reporting child abuse and neglect. \nOther duties as
