We’ll share more details when we talk.\nAbout This Role\nAt Lapel, our product engineering team owns all product surface areas from ideation to delivery to customers. On this team, you'll own features end-to-end across our entire stack and be expected to bring both product judgment and technical depth to ship things that actually work the way customers need them to.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild, ship, and iterate on product features across the full stack\n\nWork closely with founders, designers, and customers to define and deliver product experiences\n\nOwn features end-to-end, from ideation and implementation to deployment and iteration\n\nDesign and implement APIs, services, and integrations\n\nTranslate product requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions\n\nDevelop both frontend interfaces and backend services as needed\n\nContinuously improve product quality, performance, and usability\n\nContribute to product decisions, prioritization, and trade-offs\n\nWrite clean, maintainable code and improve engineering standards\n\nOur Stack\nLapel is built end-to-end in TypeScript in a single monorepo.\nReact, Vite, and Tailwind on the frontend;\n\nNode.js and Postgres on the backend;\n\nTemporal and Pulsar to power orchestration.\n\nWe ship quickly, and care about creating a developer experience where anyone can prototype, experiment, and get ideas into production fast.\nYou’ll Thrive in This Role If You\nHave 5+ years of experience building and shipping products\n\nHave owned large-scale, enterprise products end-to-end\n\nAre comfortable working with APIs, databases, and system design\n\nHave strong product instincts and care about user experience\n\nEnjoy owning problems end-to-end, not just implementing tasks\n\nAre comfortable navigating ambiguity and working in early-stage environments\n\nCollaborate well with designers and product teams\n\nMove fast while maintaining a high bar for quality\n\nThe Process\nWe aim to hire with intention, respect your time, and offer feedback along the way.\nInitial conversation (20 minutes) We’ll explore your motivations, share what we’re building, and answer your questions.\n\nIn-depth interview (60 minutes) We’ll go deeper into your craft and experience.
