The 100% Canadian family-owned group of companies' services customers through their various subsidiaries, including, LaPrairie Crane, Northland Fleet Services, Entrec Alberta, Capstan Hauling, LaPrairie Works, LaPrairie Works Oilfield Services, and Canadian Silica Industries.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nWork with Picker, Winch and Bed Trucks.\nSignal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.\nTest rigging to ensure safety and reliability.\nSelect gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.\nTilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques.\nInstall ground rigging for yarding lines, attaching chokers to logs and then to the lines.\nAlign, level, and anchor machinery.\nAttach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.\nFabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools.\nManipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment, ships, or theatrical sets.\nClean and dress machine surfaces and component parts.
