The role will be responsible for implementing EHS systems at the project site, ensuring compliance with applicable UAE regulations, client requirements, and L&T Construction's safety standards.\nThe candidate will work closely with project management, construction teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and environmentally compliant workplace.\nKey Responsibilities\nImplement and monitor the project's EHS Management System in accordance with company, client and statutory requirements.\nConduct regular site inspections, safety audits and compliance checks across road construction activities.\nIdentify workplace hazards and ensure appropriate risk assessments and mitigation measures are implemented.\nPrepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments and Method Statements for construction activities.\nMonitor safety compliance for activities such as excavation, earthworks, roadworks, lifting operations, temporary works, traffic management and utility works.\nEnsure compliance with applicable UAE/Dubai EHS regulations and authority requirements.\nCoordinate with project teams to implement Traffic Management and Road Safety measures within construction zones.\nInvestigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and assist in preparing Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Reports.\nConduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and EHS awareness/training programs for employees and subcontractors.\nMonitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safe work practices.\nCoordinate with subcontractors and ensure their compliance with project-specific EHS requirements.\nMaintain EHS documentation, inspection records, training records, permits and compliance reports.\nSupport emergency preparedness activities, including emergency drills and response procedures.\nMonitor environmental aspects such as waste management, dust control, noise, spills and other construction-related environmental impacts.\nPrepare daily, weekly and monthly EHS performance reports and statistics for project management.\nAssist in achieving project EHS objectives and maintaining a zero-incident / proactive safety culture.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety or a relevant discipline.\nRelevant professional certification in Health & Safety / EHS will be an advantage.\n5-10 years of relevant experience in EHS/Safety, preferably within EPC, infrastructure, roads, highways or civil construction projects.\nExperience working on large-scale construction/infrastructure projects in the UAE/GCC is preferred.\nStrong knowledge of construction safety practices, risk assessment
