The role involves supervising day-to-day safety activities, monitoring contractor compliance, conducting inspections and audits, identifying hazards, and ensuring adherence to statutory, client, and organizational safety requirements. The incumbent will work closely with project teams, contractors, and workers to promote a strong safety culture and achieve zero accident objectives across all phases of project execution.\nThe position requires extensive experience in construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, transmission & distribution, industrial, or EPC projects, with strong expertise in field safety management, risk assessment, incident prevention, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise implementation of EHS policies, standards, and procedures at project sites.\nEnsure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards.\nMonitor site activities and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.\nConduct daily site inspections, safety observations, and workplace audits.\nSupport Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) activities for ongoing operations.\nEnsure implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safe work procedures.\nMonitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.\nSupervise safety requirements related to work at height, lifting operations, excavation works, electrical activities, welding, and confined space entry.\nConduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, induction programs, and awareness campaigns.\nEnsure proper usage and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nMonitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with EHS requirements.\nInvestigate accidents, incidents, near misses, property damages, and unsafe occurrences.\nAssist in preparing incident reports and implementing corrective and preventive actions.\nParticipate in emergency response planning and emergency drills.\nEnsure availability and maintenance of emergency equipment and firefighting systems.\nMaintain safety records, registers, training records, inspection reports, and statutory documents.\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and client representatives on safety matters.\nMonitor environmental compliance requirements including waste management and pollution control measures.\nPromote behavioral
