# Welding Automation

Position: Welding Automation Job Purpose: To develop, implement and optimise welding automation and robotic welding systems to improve productivity, quality and process efficiency. To support new product development, robotic welding projects, commissioning and continuous improvement of welding processes. Responsibilities: Hands-on experience in robotic welding systems, preferably FANUC, ABB, Panasonic or equivalent. Experience in robot programming, teaching, robotic cell design and welding process development. Conduct welding feasibility studies for new products covering joint design, weld accessibility, sequence and manufacturability. Develop and optimise welding parameters, robot paths, weld sequence and cycle time for new and existing models. Lead installation, commissioning, trials and production stabilisation of robotic welding lines/cells. Experience in weld quality verification through destructive and non-destructive testing and resolution of welding defects. Lead automation projects and coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Design and external automation vendors.
