We currently have an opening for 1 class session that starts Sept 2.\nSPAN111 is the first level of Elementary Spanish - we anticipate that the faculty member hired will also teach ASL112 in the spring semester.\nThis is a face-to-face course that has been scheduled Monday/Wednesday 11:00 - 12:14.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nDevelop a syllabus and course outline for students that clearly communicates course learning outcomes and focuses on the ability to communicate in Spanish in professional settings for Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Health Professions.\nProvide instruction for all sessions of assigned courses utilizing the college philosophy of connected learning.\nMaintain office hours each week.\nIncorporate Canvas (online learning platform) into the course.\nKeep accurate records of student progress (grades) and complete mid-semester and final grade reports.\nCollaborate with other language instructors to determine appropriate leveling and pre-requisite work\nQualifications\nQualifications:\nExperience teaching Spanish, as well as a master’s degree or ABD in a related field are required.
