This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production operations.\nThe ideal candidate will be a hands-on technician with strong electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on production machinery, automated equipment, and facility systems to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.\nTroubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.\nRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns on the production floor to support production schedules and minimize disruptions.\nAssist with equipment changeovers, setups, calibrations, and adjustments to meet production requirements and quality standards.\nInstall, remove, and service screw guns, tape guns, fixtures, conveyors, sensors, and other production equipment as required.\nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and support PLC-controlled systems, including explaining troubleshooting steps and corrective actions to leadership or operators when needed.\nRead, interpret, and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.\nAccurately document maintenance activities, repairs, PM completion, and parts usage in the maintenance tracking system.\nCollaborate with production operators, engineers, supervisors, and fellow maintenance technicians to improve equipment reliability and performance.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and process enhancements focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.\nFollow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety standards at all times.\n\nCompetencies & Skills\n\nStrong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability in a manufacturing environment.\nProactive, self-motivated, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.\nEffective problem-solving and analytical skills.\nAbility to clearly communicate technical issues and solutions.\nAbility to work effectively independently and as part of a team.\nComfortable working around loud machinery and industrial equipment.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.\n\nEducation & Experience\nRequired / Preferred:\nCertification as an IEM Technician (required or strongly preferred).\n3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.\nExperience with PLC troubleshooting, electrical controls, and automated production equipment preferred.\n\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.\nAbility to kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb as required for equipment access and repair.\nAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to use hands and tools for fine motor tasks and equipment repair.\nWork Environment\nManufacturing environment with exposure to paint, heat, dust, odors, and noise.\nUse of required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nAbout Lasko Products\nLove Your Air™\nLasko Products is the leading air solutions brand with a reputation for reliable products, peak performance, and perpetual innovation - our commitment to our customers for over a century.
