The Molding Process Technician is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing injection molding processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role supports manufacturing operations through process monitoring, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and collaboration with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nSet up, start up, troubleshoot, and monitor injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.\nMake machine adjustments, including injection pressure and cycle time modifications, to ensure product quality and production efficiency.\nTroubleshoot molding and process-related issues.\nInspect products for dimensional and surface defects.\nSupport mold changes and ensure proper startup procedures.\nMonitor production systems for machine stoppages, downtime, cycle deviations, and mold changes.\nConduct Root Cause Analysis for quality and production issues.\nRecord scrap and production data accurately in the monitoring system.\nCommunicate process, quality, and safety concerns to supervisors and incoming shifts.\nAssist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.\nWork closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to minimize downtime and improve performance.\nOccasionally support department leadership in the absence of the supervisor.\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nTechnical education or Associate’s Degree preferred.\n3-5 years of Injection Molding Technician experience preferred.\nExperience troubleshooting and setting up injection molding equipment.\nKnowledge of robotic systems and auxiliary equipment is preferred.\nFamiliarity with different plastic materials and injection molding processes.\nExperience with Milacron injection molding equipment is a plus.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\nFrequent use of hands, tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.\nAbility to lift, push, pull, and reach throughout the shift.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to noise, dust, odors, and production equipment.\nAvailable Shifts:\n1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM\n2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM\n3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM\nOvertime and weekends may be required based on production needs.\nAbout Lasko Products\nLove Your Air™\nLasko Products is the leading air solutions brand with a reputation for reliable products, peak performance, and perpetual innovation - our commitment to our customers for over a century.
