This individual will be responsible for operating the depalletizer and forklift associated with the line they have been assigned to in an efficient manner. Employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail through many changes. This position is unique in the need for someone who has forklift training and also a level of mechanical aptitude.\nPrimary Responsibilities include:\nOperate forklift to stack and retrieve goods, supplies, and materials\nOperate forklift to load and unload trailers.\nOperate forklift to load pallets of bottles or cans onto to depalletizer\nOnce trained, ability to make proper adjustments to the depal settings, responsible for meeting depal KPIs related to downtime. \nTroubleshoot when issues arrive\nMaintain a clean work environment\nScan or record in Excel all pertinent information as required\nWork well as a team with other warehouse operators, production, and maintenance.\nHave an awareness of, and adherence to, all safety requirements\nStrict adherence to all lock-out tag-out requirements.\nAccountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for their position \nEncouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues\nAdopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their position\nEmpowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work\nPerform other related duties as required and assigned\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nMinimum Required Qualifications\nA high school diploma or equivalent\nAt least six months experience in a manufacturing environment operating a forklift and other production equipment\nMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills\nMust be detailed oriented and can multi-task\nMust have excellent time management skills\nAdditional Preferred Qualifications\nExperience in the food/beverage industry a plus\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS\nThis position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.\nFREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in the area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).\nOCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using the LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.\nVISION: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.\nHEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
