Role in Safe Quality Food (SQF)\nTruck Driver is responsible for safe transportation from SunRype dock to location designated for delivery ensuring the finished product chain of custody is intact (seals) and product does not become contaminated or failed to maintain proper temperature for product that requires refrigeration. If this were to occur, then the Shipping Coordinator, QA Manager and Manufacturing Manger must be immediately notified for further disposition. A corrective action will be issued and approved by QA Manager or designate for disposition.\nFollow all SunRype Food Safety guidelines and Personal Health, Hygiene and GMP’s.\n2. Responsibilities:\nAble to load and unload all vehicles; may involve bins, bulk, solid waste or slurry.\nAble to drive a forklift and be forklift certified.\nAble to perform routine maintenance on vehicles driven.\nComplete and handle paperwork involved when loads are delivered or picked up and the daily road and maintenance logs required when operator the over the road trucks.\nKeep equipment in clean condition.\nAdvise supervisor of upcoming maintenance that needs to be scheduled.\n3. Job Requirements:\nThe following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of the position. Physical Requirements:\nThis position requires the following physical demands up to 90% of the time:\nMust be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. \nMust be able to carry 25 pounds up and down 21 stairs.\nMust be able to stand for 8 hours during a shift minus breaks and lunch.\nMust be able to climb a 12’ 6” vertical ladder up a truck tanker.\nMust be able to work in hot, humid and/or cold conditions.\nMust be able to stand, bend, squat, crawl, kneel, reach above shoulders, climb ladders and crawl in tight and awkward workplaces for long periods of time.\nMust have good hand-eye coordination.\n5. Non-Physical Requirements:\nA. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.\nB. Experience: Minimum one year experience as a truck driver preferred.\nC. Special Skills:\nAble to work any shift, overtime and any or all days of the week in accordance with plant needs.\nAble to drive safely, using both mirrors while backing, turning, or changing lanes to avoid running into cars, structures, or other obstacles.\nAble to secure load and stabilize, verifying such before moving truck.\nAble to stay clear of forklifts while truck is being loaded/unloaded.\nProperly do equipment checks daily and report any problems to maintenance.\nExcellent communication skills.\nSuperb organizational skills and attention to detail.\nA demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.\nPersonally invested in the success of the business.\nMotivated, focused, and accountable for results.\nD. Licensure, Registration, Certification:\nValid WA State CDL Endorsement for combinations and tankers. - Class A CDL required.\nFirst-aid card.\nE. External Relationships:\nVendors\nCustomers\nF. Internal Relationships:\nThe Truck Driver must interact and communicate effectively with all employees of the organization. Effective communication is especially important with the shift supervisor.\nG. Direct & Indirect Reports:\nThere are no direct or indirect reports.\nH.
