To support employees in all stages of their wellness journey, we have a robust benefits program including medical, dental, and vision coverage options, growth and development potential, along with 401-K, Life & Disability Insurance, PTO, Tuition Reimbursement, Health Fairs, Gym Membership Discounts, and so much more!\nPosition Summary: This position is responsible for the overall function of the production, material handling, support equipment, buildings and Waste Water System to ensure its proper operation and performs maintenance activities when required to maximize plant production and minimize mechanical down time.\nResponsibilities:\nRole in Safe Quality Food (SQF)\nMaintenance Supervisor is responsible for training mechanics in understanding the Food Safety program and SQF guidelines that apply to Maintenance.\nEnforce HACCP and GMP requirements\nCreate a culture that focuses on producing Safe, Quality Food\nDevelop & maintain a maintenance prevention program to ensure all plant equipment and systems are running efficiently.\nDevelop and maintain a supplier control index assuring that only high quality vendors are retained.\nMeet with vendors to discuss and resolve mechanical problems as required.\nPrepare for and represent Sun-Rype Concentrates, Inc. during all meetings with vendors as required. \nRemain current with new government rules, scientific procedures and chemical regulations.\nPerform and document Repair Work Orders and PM’s as scheduled or when necessary.\nPerform and document removal, installation, disassembly, repair and assembly of production, material handling, waste and raw product equipment, support equipment and systems when necessary.\nMaintains a neat and orderly work area.\nOperates a forklift in a safe manner.\nPerforms non-routine maintenance activities as needed must be capable of diagnosing emergency repairs.\nJob Requirements:\nThe following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of the Mechanic position. Physical Requirements:\nThis position requires the following physical demands up to 90% of the time:\nMust be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, \nMust be able to carry 25 pounds up and down 21 stairs,\nMust be able to stand for 8 hours during a shift minus breaks and lunch,\nMust be able to work in hot, humid and/or cold areas,\nMust be able to stand, bend, squat, crawl, kneel, reach above shoulders, climb ladders and crawl in tight and awkward work places for long periods of time,\nMust be able to safely lift and carry a 51-pound stepladder,\nMay be required to safely lift up to 100 pounds unassisted,\nMust have good hand-eye coordination.\nB. Non-Physical Requirements:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree or mechanical certification preferred. High school diploma required.\nExperience: Minimum one year experience in a juice processing environment preferred.\nSpecial Skills:\nAble to work any shift, overtime and any or all days of the week in accordance with plant needs.\nAble to do electrical troubleshooting.\nAble to demonstrate safe use and skilled application of tools commonly used in the plant in accordance with established practices and procedures.\nAbility to use stick welder, wire welder, tig, plasma torch, oxygen acetylene torch.\nAbility to recognize and name stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.\nAbility to sharpen drill bits, chisels, and cutting tools.\nExcellent communication skills.\nSuperb organizational skills and attention to detail.\nA demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.\nPersonally invested in the success of the business.\nMotivated, focused and accountable for results.\nLicensure, Registration, Certification:\nWA State Electrician Certification preferred.\nThis job description is not intended to contain a comprehensive list of the responsibilities that are required to successfully perform in this position.
